While fish (neta) was okay/good and they clearly put time into dressing up each piece and aging some of the fish / beef, the rice (shari) is the problem. Rice was coming out of the same larger container into chef’s small container all night and yet it was inconsistent all throughout the meal. It’s almost as if it wasn’t mixed well with the vinegar as some bites had more flavor while others didn’t have any. Then there was the texture. Some bites tasted soft and mushy and just not good.
A great Omakase place in Bensonhurst...who knew? I took my date for the 18 course, and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite. I will definitely be back!
Three Michelin stars for a reason. Can’t really describe the taste. You’d just have to try it for yourself. Quite pricy
Neta Shari is a great place to go. The owner, manager and team are all really nice and amazing. Highly recommended. Food is delicious.
Wish the chef has time to carry conversations with the customers as it is my impression of omakase should be.
Elevates the standard for sushi in the neighborhood and beyond. Never disappoints. Already looking forward to our next visit.
Hidden gem in Bensonhurst! Perfectly curated with beautiful pieces. Aged beef and fish were delicious! Served my favorites- Hokkaido scallop and Hokkaido uni!
Came here for the first time for Valentine’s Day dinner and it did not disappoint! Everything was beautifully put together and so delicious. Every piece was fresh. They even gave us complimentary heart shaped uni! 18 courses for 125 is a steal. Will be coming back
This is my third time dining at this restaurant. Comparing the first two times, this meal didn't meet my expectations. Overall, it was slightly better than a regular sushi bar.
Food was amazing. Worth

their dry aged wagyu is very well done , with simple favoring it brings out the true taste of dry aged beef

Amazing omakase. Had the full course (steam egg cup/chawanmushi + 14 sushi + dessert). The price is a bit steep but it's all worth it. I guess the service can be improved, seems like waiters are a bit new in serving customers. But the food is really delicious which is more important.

Probably one of the best overall restaurants I've been to! Despite having a Michelin, it's very affordable, and the sushi is of course always amazing. The atmosphere is also nice and casual.
I arrived a little close to closing time, but the staff were patient and gracious. The sushi chefs are also very friendly and conversational. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

If you want a more authentic experience, this might not be the place. Their A5 Wagyu and toro aren’t authentic, I felt like being scammed so be aware. Service is pretty good though.

Omakase is a must try. I had been into many Omakase experience before and this is the only with aged fish and wagyu beef. So you are in for a treat.
