Cozy small restaurant that has a long history of serving excellent food to its local community. My friends have eaten here since they were little kids eating here on a school trip and now they are still eating here in their 20s. Outside of their significance to the local community, the food is incredibly delicious. Each dish is seasoned well and has a smoky wok flavor. The customer service is also very good and we received our dishes fast.
Overall a solid 3 on food. 4 on service - super friendly and a 2.5 on aesthetic… it has seen its days and needs some updating. Very tight space, sticky table and could be cleaner.

Food wise, some solid items including the taro nest (surong burong), satay chicken, lady fingers with shrimp… and the morning glory. The Hainan chicken could be smoother, the satay beef less chewy… would skip on the sautéed tofu, stingray and pineapple fried rice.. the roti...
The waiter kept recommending Indian bread, saying it was very special and you should try it. I didn’t want to order it, but the waiter kept recommending it. The result is ordinary hand cakes... The most delicious among the four dishes is the Malaysian Sin Chew fried rice noodles. The other dishes are just average.
