Authentic central Mexican food. Picadas that are basic just like I love them with salsa, onion, cheese. Tacos placeros are are amazing with orange rice so flavorful and the roasted onion and jalapeño. The tacos are also super delicious. Expect authentic wait times it is not a fast food restaurant. If you want fast and frozen then go somewhere else. This place is affordable for nyc prices but super worth the flavor.
In all modesty and honesty, as a Mexican who has lived in CDMX, Cali, Texas and now NY for about 20 years, Santa Ana has old school NYC style tacos, with good, fresh flavors, but slightly bland from the authentics; delightful if you are ok with them being so. Great staff service and nostalgic old NYC taqueria atmosphere. Sweet diversity of costumers and staff
I went today Thursday and I ordered a quesadilla and a margarita. The quesadilla was delicious ? and the margarita too, they have happy hour ?. Good prices and the service was excellent. Muy buen servicio del muchacho que estaba hoy, muy amable.
