That’s not only « good pasta ». I come from France this is not good pasta : it’s good cuisine. The flavours are rich and complex, there is creativity in those recipes and generosity wich where greatly appreciated.

This has been my favorite restaurant in NYC through all of its iterations - the food is great, the owners are great, and there is so much care and attention poured into every dish. Ignore the negative reviews - if you want free breadsticks go to Olive Garden. If you want the best homemade pasta you're going to find in the city (especially at this price point !) go to Nicandra's.

This is the best pasta place in the area hands down. The price point is extremely affordable for such a quality selection of different pastas. The staff is super sweet. It is takeout which is a bummer but you can sit there and enjoy some of the best Italian food around.

Had the best experience today at Nicandra’s! I don’t ever leave reviews so that ought to tell you everything!! Everything from the service to the homemade pasta was exceptional. You get exquisite pasta with a comforting ambience that will leave you wanting to come back!

Best place ever. We used to come here regularly and we’ll travel back to return. The food is decadent and the owner is lovely. Incredibly unique and delicious take on Italian. The cavatelli with chiles, the ribs, brussels sprouts, and cereals toast were our go-tos. This spot was and will always be my favorite spot in Bushwick.

This is definitely more of a to-go spot. The atmosphere kinda clashes a bit, there’s no bathroom, & it’s all served in to-go containers anyways…so yeah. But on the upside, love homemade pasta & i’d definitely comeback for the bread…so garlic-ey & buttery…mmm

I love Nicandra's. It's such a gem and literally the best pasta i've ever had! They are a "grab and go" establishment but do have seating available without service. My favorite is the linguine nero but the agnolotti is also delicious. Actually, everything is delicious. the pasta is SO FRESH. They used to have bigger portions for a higher price when they did table service but the portions now are still huge and for cheaper! Another thing I would HIGHLY recommend is the pork ribs. They are fall off the bone and melt in your mouth. I have yet to eat better pork ribs in my lifetime. I love nicandras and hope they are in the neighborhood forever. It's such a cute unassuming place with AMAZING food. If anyone asks me about my favorite restaurant in bushwick, my answer will always be nicandras.

Who doesn't love an Italian place where they know what they are doing. First time visiting the place last week. Their food was astronomical. We tried the pasta with shrimp which brought me back to when I visited Italy. The burrata dish came with prosciutto and toast which I could not get enough off. I am a cheese lover. We also tried the ribs which were good but no side dish. Gave this place 4 stars because you have to order at a counter , no waitress service. And the garbage was very full when we tried to dunk our garbage, a little messy.

Nicandra's reminds me of this little place in Rome that specializes in takeout pasta. They do a great job of keeping the menu simple. I first started off with the ribs which are a signature dish here. Then I went with the fettuccine ragu and pecorino. Finished off my night with a creme brulee (chef's kiss). As I said, pretty straightforward, simple, fresh pasta. I am definitely coming back to try the other items on the menu.

An all time pasta great for us. Unpretentious surroundings set the stage for inventive flavors and great service. Their menu has a lot of great ragus and we had a phenomenal scialiiati ragu… but the all stars were an agnolotti stuffed with ricotta and an incredible pesto / candied walnuts sauce plus an appetizer of espresso glazed ribs. Very good execution and absolutely world class sauces and flavors. Will be coming back here again and again.

I used to love the old byob and table service, but Im still rly pleased with the new concept they’ve gone with. Grab and go is better for their business and most people’s time. The pasta is still top notch and the service is always great:) love this place- good food and memories to be had here. A must try in the swhick.

This is hands down the best handmade pasta joint you’ll find for many blocks. Dreamy textures and beautiful flavors, and the couple that run it are the best. Always welcoming, always prompt, you feel at home with them. Their new grab-n-go menu is a true steal at just $13, the prices went down but the quality and quantity are the same! Get it while you can!!!

Such a personal & intimate meal. Make sure you make reservations because you won't regret it. I highly recommend!

The interior and exterior are decorated in an unusual manner, reservations are required, and you can only book by phone (no walk-ups), but those quirks don't really matter because they serve the freshest, most delicious Italian food in NYC.
