Clean and quick service. Had a great view of the screen… and a decent ticket price to boot.
Was in theatre 5 today at 6pm. Waiter took my food plate when I wasn’t done with it. Also she gave us the checks at 7:12pm. Movie ended at exactly 7:57. That’s 45 min before movie ended. I’ve been here enough times to know that’s way too early. We wanted refills on drinks. Frustrating.
Enjoy the services, food being brought to your seat.
I’d like to acknowledge Jenn Hickey, the bar manager, for her remarkable courtesy and exceptional professionalism. This establishment is genuinely worth your visit, and should you ever need assistance, Jenn is the trusted professional who will address any concern promptly, respectfully, and with an unwavering commitment to your experience .
Thank you 🙏🏼
Can never go wrong with this nostalgic place 🥹 just a different vibe, no words to explain it you just have to go
Been going to Nitehawk since the original opened in Williamsburg. Have been back dozens of times, both to the original location and this one. Sadly, despite claiming that they care about protecting the sanctity of the movie-going experience, they've gradually loosened any enforcement when it comes to stamping out loud and chatty patrons, and this, despite stressing that they'll warn and kick out unruly people. I know operating a cinema these days is tough business but you're pushing away avid cinema-goers who have supported you for years as a result. I hope they can at least meet the standards Alamo Drafthouse has set when it comes to enforcing good manners during a screening.
Don’t sit in theatre 5; it smells like sewage/garbage. I said something to our server and she just gave us the annoying Gen Z stare. Like, I don’t expect YOU to personally do something about it, but maybe acknowledge that it smells and go ask what can be done? It smells really bad. When we walked in there was one of those moisturizer absorbing things you buy to keep near your closet/litter box. So is there a mold problem? If so, close that theatre and deal with it. 👃 will not be coming back to Nitehawk until it’s clear that they dealt with the issue. Gross.🤮
Cozy little theater with great food and drinks
The Nitehawk is my absolute favorite movie theater to go to. It doesn't feel commercial, it's the right amount of weird, and the food and drinks are always tasty.
I had high hopes for Nitehawk. (Wish I’d read some reviews first, since it looks like a lot of others have had a similar experience.)
They were doing a 35mm screening of Bugonia, and the cinema had put together a 30-minute reel of clips from films connected to it to play beforehand - all great on paper.
In practice, though, it was a really distracting experience. Servers were walking through the aisles the entire way through the film, constantly blocking the view. (Surely orders should be taken before the film begins and left at that?)
Then, near the end, right at a key moment, I was given the bill and asked to pay. I only had Apple Pay, so the server had to bring over a machine with its bright display light and beeping sounds as the payment went through (or didn’t — it failed three times), distracting me and everyone around. They finally gave up and waited until after the film ended - or maybe it just took that long for a manager to arrive, and I’m being too generous about the eventual common sense.
On top of that, the popcorn I ordered wasn’t at all hot, and the bathrooms were incredibly gross.
Save yourself the lesson I learned and try a different cinema.

My favorite cinema in Brooklyn
So much love to send to Nitehawk and the events team 🩷 We had our birthday party here by renting out one of the theaters to host a Nintendo Switch video game tournament. It was such a blast and the Nitehawk team was amazing to work with (huge shoutout to Chenelle & Raekwon)!
The sound and picture quality was perfect, we were able to customize the menus to fit our theme (the Fried Chicken S’witch was a hit), and the space was cozy yet spacious enough to socialize. Would highly recommend having an event here and can’t wait to come back!!
Such a great neighborhood theatre!! Absolutely had a blast premiering a homemade movie here over the weekend. The staff were incredibly patient and communicated clearly even with a theatre filled with children. Red carpet treatment for a cast of kids was such a treat to boot! Can't wait for the programs to teach our youth about film history 🙏🙏
It’s nice being able to order food while watching movies. However, I’d prefer sitting on reclining seats while watching movies. The seats were a little too hard to enjoy the movie I was watching here. Thanks for the great services though.
Fabulous venue, staff, seating and films.
