Highly recommended for date night wonderful service and very good food choices
the one star is a rating for the owners and management. my interactions with workers and my movie experiences/meals at this nitehawk location have always been terrific.. also gets me nostalgic for when it used to be the pavillion theater. anyway, i think its appalling that the workers of this theater have gone through the trouble of forming a union and attempting to negotiate a union contract; but mgmt and the owner have resorted to stalling and enlisting archaic union busting tactics to deny these workers these most basic right. give these workers a contract now!! do better nitehawk management!!
We absolutely love Nitehawk. Everyone that works there is super wonderful, and the place is so cute. We love to walk through prospect Park to and from the theater for our movies.
Great theater; less packed and cramped than the one in Williamsburg.
I’m here all the time, service is reliable, the food is good, the programming is great. Overall fantastic spot
Great movies, good food and I love the opening credits. Wish they could just charge your card on file for the food rather than requiring a card be dropped before the movie is over. I’m sure it’s expensive to upgrade the systems but that’s my only feedback. I’ll definitely be back.
Nice Space!!
Service Is Great Amazing Drinks And Food Affordable Place To Have A Great Movie Experience Night.
The espresso martini was good, but it was tiny — maybe three sips and it was gone. Definitely not worth the price. We were told that if we wanted martinis, we had to go to the bar to order them and bring them back up to the theater. The bartender was also very rude. My partner and I ordered two drinks; we only liked one and finished it quickly, so we went to order two more. He told us we couldn’t take multiple drinks into the theater — even though we planned to finish the first round at the bar and only bring the second round upstairs — and insisted we had to finish everything before ordering again. I didn’t realize I’d be monitored while trying to enjoy a drink at a bar.
To make matters worse, these drinks couldn’t be ordered inside the theater because they don’t offer “shaken” cocktails there. Overall, very dissatisfied with the poor service. If I could have ordered this drink from my seat, I would have.
It's a okay movie theater. There are menu for food and drinks available (you can enjoy your alcohol drink while watching a movie) in here.

Food and drink pairings for movies are so good and thoughtful. My favorite place in the city to sit and see a movie. Trees lounge is perfect to sit and get work done, play pool for free with friends, or have a birthday party. And the queso is legit
If you’re in one of the two large theaters, it’s great. If not, it’s a really mediocre experience. Tiny screens and uncomfortable seats for $20 per ticket doesn’t make any sense to me. Also, there’s no movie pass option like most theaters have today. The food is good at least.
My absolute favorite place to watch a movie! The delicious food, the retro vibes, the special screenings - it's the best. My fiancé and I even did our engagement pics here and had an incredible time.
Worst theater in NYC don’t go
