I watched “A Complete Unknown” as my first movie there. It’s not your average indie theater, they serve gourmet meals and decent cocktails.

The duck scallion pancakes are really good!

So much better than it used to be! Love the beer-burger-movie thing.

Such a fun place for movies. The food and drinks menu is solid. But truly the overall vibe for a local movie house is so cool. Very jealous of those who live close by!

3.5/5: Good for a one-time experience.

What a travesty of a cinema ??? They literally serve food DURING the movie. You have waiters going up and down the rows serving fried stuff, beer, and more fried stuff. ?!?!? Who would ever? Why? You also end up smelling of all that food, obviously . It is beyond my comprehension why anyone would choose to watch a movie like this. How degrading for ANY movie to be screened like this. How disappointing

A neighborhood institution. One of those theaters that feels like it has served the locals forever, and will continue to. One of the great cultural touchstones in Park Slope.

Used to love this place, today the food was horrible. Caramel popcorn was Cold, old, and in huge chunks. Queso was cold. I’m disappointed by tonight’s experience.

Servers came in and out way too much and were noisy and distracting.

I’ve been to theatres with food service like this, and usually I can’t even tell the servers are there and they only come in a few times. These guys literally came in and out 10 times and at one point I saw one walk, turn and look at the movie screen for a bit, then walk back out. Didn’t talk to anyone or take / deliver anything. Literally just disrupted the movie for no reason and bounced.

I was watching a movie with my 11-year-old son and had ordered food. Everything was going well until the server came back with our food and slammed it on the table. It startled both of us, as the theater was super quiet and almost empty. Then, the server had what seemed like a major panic attack and broke into a psychotic episode right in front of the entire theater. She started screaming, kicking, cursing, and scaring everyone around us. At one point, she even grabbed me and another customer, making the situation even more terrifying. My son began to cry.

The other servers took her somewhere in the back, and I was later told that this wasn’t the first time Nitehawk has hired mentally disturbed staff members. I also found out there was a similar incident at the Williamsburg location, as mentioned on Yelp. I feared for my life and will never go to Nitehawk again. My son is traumatized, and other customers were equally disturbed. We wasted our money on the food and movie tickets. If I could rate my experience a 0, I would. I feel sorry for the worker who had the episode, but this is not the first time something like this has happened.

Also not to mention the prices are super expensive ??? For this kind of service
