I am usually nearby so when I'm not in the mood to walk down to the heart of 8th Avenue for more popular spots/options then I have ordered from Taste Good a few times. Each time in person or on the phone the older female manager/owner is harsh and gives attitude when taking a order. Worse when in person picking up my orders. One time I walked in and she is at the rear table sitting then she just looks at me so I say that I'm picking up a phone order. I see a bag on the rear table, the woman then says it's there and points. She does not make an effort to stand up nor hand over the bag to me so I went to pick up my lunch. She says $8 (a great value for a lunch) and I have the $8 in my hand but I purposely do not walk over to her with the money. I let her get up and take my money from my hand standing where I had to pick up my bag of lunch from the table. I turn around leaving and she does not say anything not even a thank you. Service and politeness does not exist at Taste Good. Now onto the food - it is authentic Toisan/Cantonese and has home style dishes. The food is usually fresh and well prepared from my lunch experiences - so the name does apply appropriately - it does Taste Good. Not amazing but you will likely receive horrible service/bad attitude.

Taste good
The service is poor and the attitude is super bad. When I go shopping, I feel like I just want to see people’s faces. It’s the first time I’ve gone there and there will be no second time.
Food taste weird. The veggie was hard.

Delicious and fresh. Lunch special is $8 and they're generous with the portions. Our favorite dish is the pork chops in Peking sauce.
For starters, we had the brussel sprouts. So quick, very crispy, great seasoning. Come served with a garlic anoli sauce. Would definitely order again.
With today's prices very reasonable
Parking: Have to look for street parking, pay at the muni meters
