This is the kind of experience I am always hunting for. A limited menu for a handful of perfectly curated and produced items that made for the kind of dining experience that is so rare, especially for breakfast. The fish, egg, pickled vegetables, and rice were all perfect. The environment was serene and respectful. If I lived in Brooklyn I would find a way to enjoy a quiet breakfast here every week.
Tucked away in a cozy little space, this Japanese eatery feels like a hidden gem. I ate at Okonomi four times in a week, and I keep going back. The food is that good.
