I would have given this restaurant four stars. The food is good, the waiter did an excellent job, and it's a nice space. However, I will never return, for the simple reason that my girlfriend and I were unceremoniously rushed out the door shortly after dessert came. We had drinks, appetizers, mains and dessert. Within just a few minutes of dessert arriving, the check arrived unprompted. While we were finishing our drinks and dessert, a second check arrived, unprompted while my card was already sitting on the first check. I was literally pen in hand, when only moments later the hostess came over and told us that there were people waiting for our seats, pressuring us to leave. We were there for 90 minutes. We spent 200 dollars. There are many restaurants in New York that do not make their guests feel as if they are infringing on their hospitality. I highly recommend you go to one of those instead.
Otis is a true neighborhood gem. The burrata and pork pasta were absolutely exceptional—bursting with flavor and perfectly executed. The cocktails were spot-on. Warm ambiance and great service make this spot a must-visit.
We came in on a Sunday during my birthday weekend and I will 100% be back. I haven't stopped thinking about the Buratta and Pork Shoulder Pasta since I left.
I also tried a few of my husband's Mussels – can't remember the last time I had mussels that good. The Mezcal cocktail was great too, and they brought me a little ice cream with a candle + a round of aperitifs for my birthday 🥹🫶🏽 Wish I could give 6 stars for the service! This is now in my top 3 fav Bushwick restaurants.
I enjoyed Otis so much that I think I need to come back and try out a few more of their options. The food is simple and typical if you ask me but something stands out about it - the freshness and the quality. My favorite thing was the carrots because I never really had a dish like that before. The pasta was good but a bit too rich for my taste. Looking forward to coming back again in the near future!
Honestly game changing starter - the carrots are insane. Like the best mix of sweet, roasted, spiced. Yummy! Unfortunately the mains were a bit meh for us - we had the risotto and the pork shoulder pasta. Neither lived up the high of the entree unfortunately. Vibe was cute and would give it another chance as service was also really good.
Otis is a cozy spot with a great vibe—laid-back yet refined. The burrata and mussels were outstanding: fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. I’d definitely suggest wrapping things up with a Cognac for dessert—it brings everything full circle.
what folks say is true - the burrata, pork shoulder pasta, and even branzino (crispy skin!) are can’t miss. was only a little underwhelmed by the lamb meatball but great spot. highly recommend.
One of my favorite places in NYC! Absolutely FANTASTIC burata and their special pasta with meat! I was there for 4 times just this year.. love this place! Everything is fantastic!
I would literally die without this place. They consistently serve the greatest food I’ve ever had in my life — and I’ve been 4 times now.
I think this is one of my top five favorite restaurants in NYC. A semi-hidden gem, because it doesn't get reviewed by the popular, big-name food publications. It's lovely low-key neighborhood spot with really well-prepared, seasonal comfort foods, a great cocktail list, and friendly service. Sometimes the service can be on the slower side? I think they only have 2 servers for the entire floor that take orders, bus, run, deliver checks, and run payment so I think getting in the weeds can happen pretty often. But honestly this is a place to go to enjoy not being rushed out the door. Go there ready to know what to order. My partner & I will go and share the burrata, a veggie appetizer, and we each order our own pork shoulder pasta. This pasta is massive; two normal people would easily be able to share it, but we don't want to share it. It's the only way to keep us from dueling over the last bite and being grumpy that we didn't have leftovers haha. It's a cute place for a cozy date night or to have a group of friends try a bunch of dishes together. I hope this place stays open forever.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious—the burrata and short ribs were a perfect 10/10. My server was incredibly knowledgeable and gave excellent recommendations, which made the meal even better. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Great experience. Great food, and great drinks. Amazing service and the interior is nice and cozy
The food here is amazing! That said, while the service was solid, I would expect a bit better from a place as fancy as this (didn’t proactively switch out silverware, you have to box your own food, etc.)
Excellent service, very friendly and welcoming staff, the food is consistently worth the trip to Bushwick. Been going since they opened. It is a concise menu and everything is done well. They do a great job of keeping some old favorites on the menu while introducing new and seasonal items. One of my favorite restaurants in all of NYC. Highly recommend.
The food here was incredible and the service made the experience. We tried almost everything on the menu and the lamb and branzino were to die for. The cocktail with punt e mes and IPA was a crowd favorite. We will be returning!!
