First, the great: order the chilaquiles for brunch. It’s a great non-traditional “elevated” take that retains all the beloved parts of the dish: the soggy-crunchy texture, the fried egg. The twists made sense, from the creamy non-spicy salsa to the hearty beans and mole crunch. It appeals to Americans’ preference for creamy foods. Also, if you can handle a bit of heat, order anything with salsa macha, a slightly spicy smoky-nutty chili oil.The bad: temperature and texture. It felt like most of the food sat at the counter for a long time before they got delivered to our table, or they didn’t even bother to cook the food. The tuna tostada and spring pea tlayuda sat on a soggy, leathery base. The chilaquiles did not touch the stove, just a bunch of chips tossed in sauce. The tacos arrived pretty close to room temp. Flavors were pleasant, but I expected something more intense or interesting from a Michelin place.Overall, the food’s pretty darn good for the price despite the flaws.

Excellent restaurant. The only thing is the service is not exactly to the level of a one star Michelin restaurant. But the food is incredible

Best Guacamole and chips I’ve ever eaten. Margaritas outstanding. A really modern but honest to Greenpoint dining room that was bustling but allowed you to have an intimate conversation. Looking forward to a 2nd trip to continue exploring the menu and cocktails!Dietary restrictions: Nut allergy friendly.

A bit pricey but very well executed, beautiful takes on Mexican classics. Cocktails are great too.

Perhaps one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. Perhaps in part because of John who recommended the most delicious things on the menu. We will be back soon.

My friend has been looking to come to this restaurant for awhile and we finally made it. I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed a meal like this from start to finish. Our server John made amazing recommendations for both food and mezcal tastings. The manager checked in multiple times throughout too. The laid back vibe lent to a friendly atmosphere. The carrot tostada and the flank steak tacos were some of our personal highlights. Will be back with others to delve deeper into their mezcal selection!

This was my third time here and the service fell flat, though the food remains delicious. The menu is designed for sharing, but the restaurant makes it hard to do so. I was here with a party of 3. All of the tacos come in orders of 2 and the kitchen would not add a single taco onto the order even for an additional charge. We would have had to over-order and order two orders of each taco we wanted to try. Additionally, one of the members of my party had a dairy allergy and the kitchen would not accommodate preparing a dish partially dairy free, with one taco as recommend and one without the allergens. Ultimately was not able to try as much as I would have liked and was put off by the inflexibility.

We had one of the best meals and can't wait to go back! You feel like you have been transported to Mexico as soon as you walk in the door. The food, service and the vibe was on-point. The food and drinks were beyond next level. This place deserves to be on the radar for those looking to see how Mexican food is being showcased for how special it truly is. Nice work to the entire team at Oxomoco!

Lived up to the hype.. a super chilled yet affordable Michelin! The whole vibe was so fun.. we were able to walk in on a Saturday lunch time and sit at the bar! Get the chips and dips - all the flavours were so unique. We then had the tuna tostadas and all 3 of the meat tacos! We were super full but everything was delicious! Cannot wait to come back.!

Excellent and complex tasting food. We felt very welcome and had a great waitress. Of course prices are much higher than in a typical Mexican restaurant but we found it worth it as the flavors were great.

The dishes are meant to be shared! I absolutely love this restaurant for its dishes and atmosphere. Music is a little repetitive. I decided to come back with friends after my first visit but noticed there were quite a bit of fruit flies near our table. That was a little embarrassing as I had really expressed how well kept the restaurant seemed.

Came for brunch and amazing vibes and food! got one of the frozen drinks and it was amazing and pretty big. The burrito was really big and filling—so if you’re hungry go for that one. Perfect lighting too!
