Love the takeout here. The salmon with charred crunchy onions and incredible sauces with jolof rice is a Last Rites meal. Love the spicy ginger drink, too.

This is/was one of my favorite restaurants in NY. I legit think about my usual order of lamb shank/jollof rice/plantains at least once a week. I miss it so much. Please come back.

I miss this place, when it was open I had an amazing time with my boyfriend. We were treated very well and the staff was extremely attentive and courteous. The food was tasty and fresh. Would be there right now if I could.

The best African food in NYC. The lamb stew and couscous are amazing. The food here seems very authentic and the staff is very nice. The cooking time can take a bit but it’s definitely worth it! Be sure to look at their day of the week menu for special deals. HIGHLY recommend!

I discovered this place while walking to work. I've ordered from here numerous times within the past year and it NEVER disappoints. I've met the owner who is a very kind and welcoming person. The food is always amazing and always consistent. Awesome food portions. A little pricey but worth every penny. I hope this business stays around for a very long time.

Ok, it's not gourmet but it's delicious and plentiful and much appreciated. And the staff is lovely. And we definitely got our money's worth! Takeout only at this point.

Nice owner, amazing food!!!Sweet potatoes that melt in the mouth, delicious BBQ chicken; I asked for a piece of ox tail because I miss ox tail soup but haven't had it for a decade, he gave me a large piece and a piece of j*** chicken too! Then, he introduced me to an elixir that he calls Ginger Juice, now, I need to go back to get a jug of that good stuff soon, it's going to make some great mixed drinks

Been going to this place since I first moved to the area a year ago. At first I was like "what the hell is African food?" Boy, am I glad I went.Hands down my favorite restaurant in Bushwick. I've gone multiple times, and it's my go-to for when friends visit. Same story every time "African food? Am I going to s**t my pants?" - an hour or two later "man, that was AMAZING!"The staff here are fun and friendly. A little bit of a language barrier if you only speak English, but they're patient and helpful in finding food you'll like. I've tried so many unique things here, and I plan to keep trying until I've sampled the whole menu. Highly recommend the okra stews, the lamb shank, the jollof rice, and my favorite thing...the salad. I have no idea what the hell kind of lettuce or greens or whatever they're buying, but they're big flavorful fresh leaves. The dressing is to die for; tastes like some sort of creamy mustard. I've gone through half a bottle on a salad before (the salads are huge). The prices are very reasonable too. You'll get way more food than you can possibly eat for $20 (or less). They recently reopened following quarantine, and I was so ecstatic to see that they weren't gone for good. There's a very good reason the NYT wrote an entire article on this place.

Oof. We ordered the djolloff rice with lamb on Seamless and it was just the worst. Most of the lamb pieces were all bone. The pieces that actually had meat were grisly and inedible. We had to throw the whole thing out, very disappointed :(
