My go-to spot in Gowanus
Easily a highlight of the neighborhood - I haven’t found another place quite like Parklife. It’s part restaurant, part beautiful outdoor hang, and part event space with film nights + screenings. But what really sold me is the people. The staff are genuinely some of the best: warm, funny, and always on top of things.
The food also hits that perfect fusion sweet spot - creative w/o trying too hard, comforting w/o being boring. I’ve brought friends here for a “quick bite” and we’ve ended up staying for hours, trying more and more off the menu because everything simply tastes so good.
And the outdoor space is truly one of a kind. I don’t think there’s anything quite like it, especially tucked into one of the coolest corners of Gowanus. In the summer, when the weather is perfect, they host amazing film events that bring together such a great crowd - it feels like a genuine community.
TLDR: Parklife has a great venue, a great menu, and an atmosphere + energy that keep me coming back. Highly recommend.

This place is FABULOUS. The veggie tacos are FIRE. We had an awesome bartender, Wayne, who made a dope mezcal margarita and was great company at the bar. Would recommend. 10 out of 10!
Classic Carnitas! Wayne is the best!

The food is delicious! We loved all the tacos, apps, and drinks. One margarita was weirdly gross and over-limed, but maybe that was an odd thing.
Prices were outrageous. Yes this is NY but drinks were ridiculous, as other people have pointed out.
The restaurant is very dirty—absolutely disgusting. Sitting outside would have been much nicer. We had alcohol pads and baby wipes (and we usually wipe off where the baby sits) and three of them came away black. You could see the line on the table where I had stopped cleaning. They didn’t seem to wipe in between other people who left at all. The bathroom was layers of grossness.
The ordering system seems cool at first—menu on your phone and order/pay on your phone is easy and doesn’t require a server. This would be perfect for a group of friends all ordering and paying separately. But if one person is paying, you’re passing around a phone and not everyone can see the menu as easily. Just kind of awkward. Passes the job of taking orders and making sure everyone got something to someone at the table rather than a server.

We organized our wedding after party at Parklife and couldn't have been happier with the experience. They were so quick to respond via email, reserved tables and little indoor areas for us, and didn't require a drinks minimum to reserve (like so many other places). Alonso was there to greet us and made sure we had a great time. I'd 1000% plan another event here, be it a birthday or like us a wedding celebration.
The drinks are great and well-priced and their food is yummy! And the service was impeccable. We'll be back!

We hosted a large pre-wedding event at Parklife. Alonso and team were very helpful pacing fooding and drinks so we did not need to worry about it. The outdoor space worked perfectly.

Atmosphere is fine, food is quite shit and drinks are expensive compared to other options near by. Would not go again and would tell people to avoid unless there’s some big happy hour deal or something that knocks $3 off beers.

I liked the place. The food was good and well presented. Fast, maybe a notch too fast service. Drinks can be also a little pricey. But overall it’s a cute setting with good food and space. I recommend it and will go back !!!

I recently hosted my goodbye party at Parklife, and from start to finish the experience was absolutely exceptional. From my first communication, the team was incredibly responsive and transparent, making the planning process smooth and stress-free.
On the day itself, I had the chance to meet the manager, the owner, and one of the servers, and every single person I interacted with was warm, friendly, and genuinely hospitable. Their attentiveness and care created such a welcoming atmosphere that my guests and I felt right at home.
The space itself was perfect — vibrant, comfortable, and easily the best venue of all the ones I looked into. Parklife truly went above and beyond, and it was everything I could have hoped for in a sendoff celebration.
I can’t recommend them highly enough — Parklife is by far the best outdoor venue in Park Slope/Gowanus an event.

Atmosphere - I was going to a event near by and was looking for a nice place to grab a quick drink. The night I arrived - they were doing a movie night and were slightly reluctant to me sitting outside as people would sit there in an hour. However I walked for just a quick drink and the staff was super sweet and helpful. They had me sat quickly. This was the best part of my visit. Sadly after this it kinda felt downhill. The customer service was amazing.
Food and drink - I ordered a sour and it was like 14 dollars. I can’t remember the exact amount so don’t quote but me it came in the smallest cup I’ve ever seen. I was shocked. I just wanted a real drink. Staff told me that it’s because people get shocked now how expensive the big one is. I would have appreciated a disclaimer. I just wanted a reasonable price beer. The price shocked me.
The quac and chips were good. And the taco was fine.
Because of the drink issue alone I will
Never go back

Excellent spot especially in the summertime. It has a very relaxed atmosphere but still energetic. It’s the type of place you could go for any occasion casual, special, romantic, or family-oriented.

Unbelievable Experience in the heart of Brooklyn’s Gowanus Park slope border. Went for the 2026 Oscar nominated animated shorts & now i’m gonna host my birthday party on September 10 here! The staff, especially the owners Julie and scott are some of the best people that I’ve known in my life!
