previous reviews being somewhat mixed reflects my experience at this place. there were four vegan slices available, all ranging from $5-6, and three our of four are square-style cuts. 'vegan freddy' was the best as it had some taste to add to the massive amount of dough; the same is partly true of vegan hellboy squared, in addition to having tasteless cheese on top. vegan hellboy slice was pretty bad as the only taste it had was the taste of the sweet/spicy 'honey' poured over the top. vegan vidalia is a piece of dough with tomato paste and onions. probably neither of them is worth it but for the square-cut style enthusiasts.
Very sauce heavy

Still breaking the law by not displaying their C rating from the health inspector (you can look it up on the health.nyc.gov website) – restaurant is responding that they have posted the rating, and technically this is true: it’s posted at foot-level, angled downward, unlike most restaurants that post their ratings at eye level.
In any case, do you wanna get pizza from a place with a C rating? In NYC there are only 3 possible ratings, and C is the lowest.
Hope they clean up their act! It was nice to have a decent place for a slice in the neighborhood.
Very disappointing experience.
I placed a simple order (a plain pie and a spinach slice) and ended up waiting over 30 minutes. What made it worse was watching two other customers who ordered pies after me get their food first. When I finally asked what was going on, they pulled my pie from a stack of others that had clearly been sitting out. I ended up with a cold pie, which was frustrating considering I had planned to eat and enjoy it fresh. Unfortunately, this visit was a letdown.
Pizza was ok - not special for nyc. Staff wasn’t particularly friendly. We asked if we could buy a side of hot honey and were told “condiments are on the table”. Just not a fun, friendly pizza vibe you’d hope for.

I read great reviews and excited to try this. However, we ordered 3 slices: the Vegan Via, Hellboy, and the Hot Honey one. All of them were burned (not crispy as it should be). There were 3 shreds of cheeze on all the slices and it was very bland. The hot honey tasted like straight sugar and the pepperoni had an odd taste. Maybe we got a bad batch but they were all bad. I would not recommend this place at all given this is a city with amazing vegan options.
This place simply rocks! Great staff, great pizza, great beer, cartoons for kids and sports for adults on multi TVs! Sign me up! And vegan slices!

Shishito peppers app , monte cristo and the hell boy or something were great
Has gone downhill, curious also of what their health score is, I can't seem to find it displayed anywhere and I've heard rumblings that they've got a C. Would be nice to have some transparency there

Incredibly friendly staff and an atmosphere that I would want to hang out in everyday. It was an absolute vibe. It definitely helps that the pizza is really really good. We went with a vegan pie as one of oir party has dairy allergies. Looking forward to going here again.

Because I would never want to see a child potty trained while I ate a slice. Good job, Paulie Gee's!

The slice shop continues to be a quality and consistent addition to Greenpoint. Biggest point of contention is that when asking for a glass of water the team provides 4oz paper cups that are the equivalent to going to the dentist office and being asked to rinse. Time and time again, I ask for a large cup with ice and the team acts as if they are doing me a favor for the basic inquiry.
If you claim to not be a full service restaurant why do you ask for 18% gratuity and have a bar in the back seating of your establishment.
