I like the chicken at Peaches HotHouse but it was their location on Tompkins Avenue. This location is closed. ?

This spot has some pretty good food and the drinks are good too. It has a pretty laid back vibe, the service is good and it is also fast even when the place is packed. Everyone I bring to Peaches HotHouse enjoys the food and the drinks. It is a regular favorite of mine. I took off 1 star because I was under the impression that some of the food items were Gluten Free only to learn months later, that they were not... On the brightside, I now know the source of the stomach ache after eating there...

Brisket-perfect! Beans-amazing! Mac and cheese - a little dry; greens - could have used a bit more vinegar and maybe a little molasses; potato salad smokiness would have been much enhanced with still a dab of sweet relish

Peaches HotHouse used to be one of my favorite places to eat in Brooklyn. Unfortunately the food quality has gone down over the years. The seasoning is lacking on all the items at the hothouse. Obviously, Peaches will always be beloved in my heart, but I hope they bring back the recipes that made me fall in love in the first place.

Never again. We ordered the Nashville hot, but the sauce was only on one half of the chicken. The collard greens were terrible. It's hard to over cook collard greens, but Peaches did it...somehow. The cornbread was decent (pretty sure it was Jiffy mix).Tl;Dr Waaaaay over priced. Not worth it at all. My grandmother is rolling in her grave over me spending that much for subpar chicken.

I am not happy to give this restaurant such a poor rating, but feel it a public service. When ordering 1/2 pound or 1 pound of brisket, 1/8 to 1/4 should not be fat. You could literally taste the propane that from the smoker used to prepare the brisket. (Yes, my palate is that discerning.) The macaroni and cheese was bland. Note to the chef: salt is not an exotic spice. The ribs were acceptable. The barbecue beans were just that -- beans with barbecue sauce thrown in. The fried chicken was very crunchy, albeit it, again, lacking flavor. The fried fish was pleasant. The pieces were understandably small, but it was worth a purchase. The cornbread was more (pound) cake like and a tad too sweet. It didn't allow one to taste the actual "corn" in cornbread. While waiting, the cashier stated the restaurant would be opening a second location closer to Downtown Metrotech. I hope they do well and provide good service in their new locale. As for this experience, it's a no for me. (Pics depict the plate of brisket fat and my greasy napkin. You be the judge.)

I got the 1/2 pound brisket with cornbread and spicy roasted broccoli. The beans were a little sweeter than I would've liked, and the cornbread wasn't anything special. The best cornbread I had was in Texas, where there were little chunks of corn in the bread. However, this place deserves five stars because the people were really nice and the broccoli was surprisingly good. It was probably my favorite part, besides the flavorful brisket!

I loved the little igloos for the outdoor dining. It started to drizzle while we were there so we were totally protected from the rain. They also have additional seating without coverage. The way it works is you go into the restaurant, order and pay for your food. They bring the food out to your table. The service was extremely friendly and efficient. The server checked on us several times to make sure we had what we needed. I got the rum punch and it was delicious. For my main meal I got the best chicken sandwich (aioli on the side) with fries and broccoli. The chicken sandwich was juicy and flavorful. It was a fun night and I would definitely go back.

In my opinion, this is the Better of the two restaurants. Everything was deeelicious. The hot chicken was perfectly done. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the I side. It didn't need any sauce. And TRUST, I am a saucy saucy girl. I like me my sauce. I needed none for the chicken. The cornbread was ok. The sandwich is an upscale version of the Popeyes chicken sandwich. I mean that as a compliment! The spicy chicken sandwich is SO GOOD! The brisket was done well too. The mac and cheese was aaaaaamazing!!! Reminded me of how my friend's grandma used to make it. Its SO good. He grits were good as well.. creamy and buttery. There wasn't any service because we got our food on a tray at the counter and were told to choose a cabin, and that was that. There's a water station and cups to get your own water if you'd like or choose a drink. But this wasn't a server who brings food to your table and checks up on you situation. Atleast not while we were there. A place we will definitely try again.

If you're looking for Nashville Hot, this place is good but isn't it. The breading was thick, and the flavor lacked a bit but the chicken itself was VERY juicy! The sides were all delicious and the dressing in the salad was really good. Overall, you might want to give it a shot, but whatever review I read saying this was Nashville Hot was just not right.

Peaches has knock-out chicken and brisket sandwiches. I’m from Nashville and I think Peaches can compete with anything we’ve got there. I’ve also really enjoyed their outdoor setup through the pandemic - warmed tiny houses in the winter, park seating in the summer. Their music also passes the vibe check. Love this place.

Peaches fried chicken is always worth it, but just a word of caution if you eat it a few times: the “hot” spicy level can be a bit inconsistent. Meaning you’ll get a particularly hot batch sometimes and a weaker one another... don’t mistaken that variability as meaning you’re ready for “extra hot”, because it is wildly ???????.

The food is extremely good. I had the Mac and cheese and pulled pork. Decent bbq and southern food is hard to come by around here, so I was appreciating it even more. Will definitely be back.

I wanted to like this place, but I found the fried chicken to be bland - the spice was just heat, no flavor. It came with no sauce whatsoever, making it pretty dry. Also, the side salad came with dressing that was just pure oil. Not a vinaigrette, just a pure thick oil that was pretty unappetizing and also flavorless. It was a definite disappointment, especially compared to some of the great places in the neighborhood.
