I’ve ordered from this location many times over the years. Today I ordered the jerk chicken meal with fresh salad and rice and peas. They gave me macaroni salad instead which wasn’t what I wanted. However the real problem was that my chicken was under cooked. The chicken was pale and when I tried to bite into it it was tough. I finally tore into it and see the center is red. Super disappointing as I used to love this restaurant. Now I’m still hungry and hope I won’t get food poisoning.

Peppa’s Jerk Chicken is always my go-to for Jamaican food, and they never disappoint — but I had to leave a review after my most recent order of jerk pork with a side of festivals. As someone who truly loves jerk pork, I can tell you it’s hard to find authentic, flavorful jerk pork in Brooklyn, but Peppa’s consistently gets it right.
The pork was tender, juicy, and packed with that bold, smoky jerk flavor that keeps me coming back. I got both jerk and BBQ sauce on the side, and while both were delicious, the pork honestly didn’t need anything extra, it stood on its own.
The festivals were perfectly cooked … golden, slightly sweet, and soft on the inside, the perfect balance to the heat of the pork.
And I have to shout out Italia for her amazing customer service! She’s always warm, welcoming, and makes the experience even better. You can tell she cares about the customers and takes pride in what she does.
Peppa’s is my top spot in Brooklyn for real Jamaican flavor. Highly recommend!

I don’t know why my review won’t come up, but I’m putting it in again. The peas and rice were terrible had no flavor., We were missing one order of macaroni salad, I ordered shrimp and all I got was is dried up fish. The jerk chicken was all bones.

I came in here to get some curry chicken with white rice, Rasta pasta & baked Mac & cheese & was rushed out while not receiving any mac & about 5 pieces of noodles as my for my pasta. The attitude on these people are as if they don’t want to be at work & serve. Never again

I was in charge of ordering food for a small meeting at work & Peppa’a came to mind ! Chrissy is on vacation & I wanted to speak through her but you know what the service was absolutely the same whether you know someone or not . I’m so thankful to have received such great service & food with less than 24hrs of notice . I ordered at 3pm through their website & by 11:15am everything was ready to go . I called to let them know I was going to order & everything was so seem less. Thank you Prospect PL Peppa’s .

Went in there and it was absolutely empty. Didn't get greeted or anything. The girl there is very stand offish. I asked her if the food was fresh and she's like yeah we made it today... like make me want to order and spend money with you guys. I just left ... bad customer service equals bad food. Do better.

Tried this place for the first time while visiting NY. The food was good with the exception of the mac n cheese, it was dry! Liked it so much went back for a second time, the 2nd time the chicken was so spicy and I loved it. Took away one star because the customer service sucks! No greeting and the young lady at the front seemed to have an attitude. Treat your customers better as they keep you in business, they're not obligated to come to your establishment when they're others.
Doesn’t get enough credit for how busy they get but still how fresh and delicious the food is. And how reasonable their prices are! They do what they can to try to please the customers. I am patient & kind and have always receive good & kind service back. Yes there is a wait during the busy periods of day like lunch and dinner, obviously.
Wanted to leave this review because labor day was extremely busy and people were complaining about staffing. But you know what day it is also, any good restaurant in this area will be busy with the parade & staffing is an issue everywhere. How about you or your hungry kids apply then :)

Food was great as always but the shop is small and is very busy more customers than staff so it can be frustrating waiting on food to be served with shortage of staff at registers.

This place is a very excellent and nice place. The works over there is Very nice especially Debbie. She’s a very nice lady. The food is very excellent fried chicken jerk chicken curry goat oxtail rice and peas. Everything is excellent over there. Great place to eat great meals A+++??

I ordered here because i was craving for jerk chicken. The food was expensive but its okay. The delivery was delayed and when the driver came the food were upside down its like it fell from the ground. The brown bag were not sealed too. So everything was wasted
