I went in there to order a small rice to go with my food I made. I lost my debit card and was waiting for my dad to cash app me money since the bank was closed. He was was taking a little long to send the money. I only had $3.50 in cash. The rice was $5. The young gentleman was very kind and sold it for $3.50. He didn’t have to do that and he did & I appreciate it. While it may be a small gesture to anyone else , it’s the kind heart he has that is amazing. Thank you so much . I came here with a friend who lives in the neighbourhood, when I was in the restaurant and ordering he was laughing, well the lady behind the counter was very sweet with me. When it came to the sides she asked if I wanted plantain. I was like what is that. She smiles and said I’ll give you two side. When we got back to our unit. My friend was like. Wow she likes you a lot she gave us a lot of food,We ordered the jerk chicken. It was nice not dry at all it had lots of flavour.I LOVED THE OXE TAIL. It was so tender and full of flavour. Goes really well with the rice and beans. I highly recommend this restaurant.If you smile and be polite they treat you nicely. To the lady behind the counter thank you for being sweet and nice to me I’m the white Australian girl. It made me enjoy your services and food. THANK YOU

Idk what's going on but every peppas seem to need better customer service. Time n place for everything and at times their background conversations seem to be more important than serving customers. To me the jerk chicken at Utica location is the best. I've been to Nostrand 4 times and twice I was disappointed. Overall not bad Jamaican food. But they can do with some improvements.

The food is not bad, but the customer services is terrible. The guy who fixed my food, first moved the large trash bin with his bare hands, then proceeded to fix my food without any gloves. Was not feeling that! All I ask is that u wear gloves. When I said something, the cashier didn't say anything but rolled her eyes. Okay cool, no problem!
No Suh ! This is the worst Peppas out of them all ! Always had a bad experience with this specific location. The food here is horrible period don’t do it to yourself ! Water down hurt belly food. They literally cook like they ahhh feed dog ! Worst Jamaican food ever.

After a 8hr drive from Canada to Brooklyn my friend and I wanted some jerk chicken so we were recommended to come here. I ordered jerk chicken and festival, the jerk chicken was over cooked and dry, more than half of it was inedible. The festival was good. Also ordered the lemonade from here and bwoy.. tasted like pure sugar wata. No lemon flavour at all.
