so glad they are still here! always go by when im in the area bc they carry so many things no one else does. (whole foods is an expensive amazon warehouse now) i tried the hot bar at Perelandra for the first time finally and was great, will come thru more often.

Love all the fresh vegetables

Ridiculously high prices on everything. Even Whole Foods is cheaper. I stopped shopping here years ago, but stop in occasionally to check out prices.

Most racist job I've ever worked for. Evelyn is the worse “HR” person to ever exist. To the managers accusing black men of stealing, one of the white managers saying the N word and wearing beads in their hair culture appropriating like crazy, to the owners not saying anything to you when they come in.. just straight pass you like you don't exist. Management is trash . We have the big manager named DAN watching cameras 24/7 to make sure you're not on your phone cuz he doesn't have a life. Brought up an issue about a manager LAUREN talking about me to my other coworkers the stupid lady EVELYN had the nerve to tell me “oh I don’t believe she said that I know her , that doesn’t sound like something she’ll say.” Evelyn aren’t you HR??? Very unprofessional to say. The place is unsanitary. Bathroom always stinks. Has a permanent stench. There’s favoritism here ofc to the white people. If you’re not white you get no favoritism sorry :(… THE PAY is way too little to be doing what they want you to do. Want you to clean their nasty bathrooms, and do produce for 8hrs of the day. ENTITLED CUSTOMERS. I hope this place gets shut down and get their karma . if you want to work at a place with RACIST MANAGERS, WEIRD COWORKERS, BEING WATCHED ON CAMERAS 24/7 , CLEANING UP PEOPLES SH**, AND GETTING LITTLE PAY FOR DOING MAD WORK… then this is the place for you. Hope this place gets their karma .

Whenever I am in downtown Brooklyn, I make a B line to Perelandra. They have the best prepared vegan food. Love this place.

My mom and I used to take a bus to this store when I was a baby vegan because back then it was harder to find vegan products. 20 years later I moved into this neighborhood and I'm so happy to see Perelandra is still right on Remsen. It's a Brooklyn treasure.LOVE the vegan prepared foods in the fridge section. If it's late and I don't feel like cooking, I grab a meal from their fridge. They all taste like healthy, home-cooked meals and it's such a nice change from all the vegan fast food restaurants now. I've also never been tempeh's biggest fan, but however they make theirs, it's fantastic. So I like to grab of tub of their prepared tempeh to use in my cooking and salads at home.

Great natural grocery store. Love the variety of reasonably priced, high quality organic produce. The vegan prepared food / sandwiches / hot bar are also well flavored and reasonably priced

I work around the corner from this store so I’ve been a customer for over a decade. I love all the organic products and fresh produce but the hot bar is really hit or miss lately. The portobello mushrooms are consistently dangerously salty. The sweet potato soup I bought for lunch today has no flavor whatsoever and taste like a dishrag. Tofu salad and French lentil salad are both very good. I’d appreciate more variety in the prepared food section.

I love the employees and the hot bar is amazing. They always have well seasoned protein options like tofu and tempeh and I’m a big fan of their dairy free Mac and cheeses. They have a huge selection of vitamins and supplement that is well stocked. My life would not be the same without Perelanda

Amazing potato salad! Kosher hot & juice bar!

One of the last stores of its kind in Brooklyn and NYC at large. The customer service is hit-or-miss but it always has what I’m looking for. I’ve been a loyal customer for 14 years and I hope it’s always on Remsen Street.
