We come here every Sunday for brunch before hitting up the farmers market. It’s the perfect execution of comfort food that doesn’t make you feel heavy after.
The dim sum menu is small but has all the favorites, and they do it really well. Their congee is my favorite and great for hangovers. Both chicken and veggie versions are clean yet flavorful. Dumplings are juicy and have a nice skin that’s not too thick but thick enough (giggidy).
Veggie dishes are bomb. Honestly everything is tasty and priced well. The restaurant is small but not cramped. It allows the service to be more attentive. This place good I like.
these reviews must be by family friends - or people who have never eaten real Shanghai XLB - the dough was thick and chewy - these are frozen and steamed NOT prepared fresh - I can heat up frozen food at home . The bao dough was not steamed properly so had texture of raw dough . The noodle dish was tossed in oyster sauce and too much fish sauce and cold shredded white chicken - nothing close to taste of the real dish ! The bbq ribs came in a slab you have to cut yourself and the meat did not fall off the bone you have to wrestle it off with your teeth . serving “Chinese” food Iike this on NYC takes some nerve . Park Slope has pretty lame food culture so I don’t trust ‘local ‘ reviews especially with Chinese food. We were given 50% of check cause we were v disappointed with the food - she was apologetic and nice but won’t be bothering eating here again .

The girl named Aru is just the best! she served at the highest level, customer-oriented just super. and the food is delicious there, in general, I advise everyone if you want to try the most delicious dumplings in NY.

Come here for some really good and unique dim sum and small plates to share. Everything we tried was great. Highlights were the scallion pancakes and the soup dumplings.

Don’t be fooled by the high rating. A lot of these other reviewers are white, and their raving reviews about soup dumplings tells me they never ate real Chinese food before in their life.
Unfortunately, these soup dumplings were almost $2 a pop and were tiny, bland, and soulless. Noodles had chicken with a weird day-old off flavor. One of the buns was 90% bread and had a very sad amount of filling. I was gagging on the dry bread trying to finish it.
The wait times for food are super long too because this place does Uber eats, and you have delivery guys bumping into your back as they come get their orders.
Honestly would not come back. Even, Nan Xiang express has better dumplings at a better price.
