A taste of Poland in Brooklyn at the Dekalb Market Hall. The Pierogi Boys know their pierogies. We tried the sampler platter (meat, potato and cheese, and mushroom and sauerkraut) and an all meat platter; both dishes boiled. The dough was tender and the pierogies were nicely full with filling.

Service was super quick and it’s a nice booth in the middle of the food market. The pierogis were mostly delicious, expect for the vegetarian ones which were good, just super acidic. But everything else was great and I love their potato and cheese pierogis. Will for sure go back!

It was my first time eating pierogis and I really liked them. Everything is very handmade, nutritious and tasty. I got the combo that comes with 2 pierogis of each flavor + sides and I was more satisfied than I thought I would be. I recommend it!

They’re so friendly and helpful. The food is so fresh and delicious. We tried a few different kinds of pierogies, the kielbasa, and a couple amazing Polish beers. I will absolutely be back.

My Polish grandmother would be so proud! These pierogi are traditionally made and super super yummy! We loved sitting at the counter and watching the next batch being artfully made. These pierogi are fried or boiled to order, so be patient- it’s worth the wait! Lovely and kind staff as well. A great spot in the market!

Alright, let’s talk pierogies. This was my first time trying them, and I can confidently say it won’t be my last. While exploring a food tour in Brooklyn, I came across the Pierogi Boys booth. Spotting a fully vegan option on their menu, I knew I had to give it a shot. A mushroom and sauerkraut pierogi? Consider me intrigued.

I ordered their sampler, and the chef even threw in a couple of pickles on the side—an appreciated touch. When the pierogies arrived, piping hot, I could already smell the earthy, savory goodness. Biting into one was an experience—the dough was soft yet sturdy, perfectly encasing the filling, which was packed with umami and just the right tang from the sauerkraut. The gravy served on the side? A game-changer. Rich and flavorful, it elevated each bite to another level.

This wasn’t just a snack; it was a testament to how good vegan food can be when done right. It’s the kind of dish that makes you stop, think, and appreciate the craftsmanship that went into it. If I had paired this with a light salad, it would’ve been a complete meal. But next time? I’m going big—I’m ordering a double serving without a second thought.

Pierogi Boys, you’ve earned a fan. I’ll be back, and I’m bringing my appetite with me.

Vegetarian options: The vegan option was solid.

Part of Dekalb Food Hall, this place has a variety of Polish food. I was happy to see they had a couple vegan options, including pierogi and soup.

I got the mushroom and sauerkraut pierogi, I ordered them boiled, so they were vegan and served with a mushroom gravy. They were delicious! The pierogi were also pretty big, so I felt like they were a good value for their price.

I also got Ogorkowa, a traditional pickle soup, which was also vegan. It was warm and comforting, and quite pickle-y. The soup did feel a bit expensive though; I wouldn’t have wanted a larger portion than I got, but I’m not sure it was worth $9.

Vegetarian options: They have clearly vegan and vegetarian options on their menu, including vegan soup and pierogis. There’s also a vegetarian sample platter.

An honest review from a Ukrainian ;)
Ukrainian borshch was good! So meaty! A little bit too sweet to my taste.
Peirogi were good! My favorite was the potato one - so good, just a little too salty to me. The meat one has pulled meat, a little too dry. The cabbage one is tangy, like really tangy and caraway seed-forward! The dough is amazing!!
So, everything is delicious and very close to the food I am used to but has some minor « too salty », « too sweet » imbalance, to my palate.
The service was good, nice guys! Very quick. Good prices, as the food is hearty and you can easily be full after a 15$ meal.
