Had high hopes but was just meh. Waffles were not great and tasted like cardboard. Maple syrup was not anything special. Fried chicken was okay first but the more I ate the more it came across salty and average breading.

I've been coming to this place for easily 10 years and damn it still hits! It's the consistency for me! Food is always bomb. Highly recommend.

Popped in on 420 was starvingggg. My homegirls got the Chicken & Waffles with berry compote, a side of Hush puppies 8/10 & Fried Pickles 8/10 I got the Super Bowl Plate (you choose 3 sides) I did the Sausage Gravy 10/10, Cheese Grits 8/10 (needed a lil honey butter & sugar), Mac & Cheese 0/10 (Definitely giving Kraft not Southern), Side of Bacon 9/10, also comes with a Biscuit & honey butter 10/10. Despite the Mac & Cheese I’ll definitely spin the block to catch a Doughnut cause we had just missed the last one.

Amazing food and service. Will be returning. The donuts were unreal, took half a dozen to go!

STILL AMAZING.I came here like 10 years ago and have always wanted to return. I'm so happy they are still open. The BEST biscuits and gravy but be warned that you will need a nap. We also tried a nut/toffee crunch donut that has ruined all other donuts for me.Our server was super helpful but didn't overbear. It was the best breakfast experience we had on our trip :)

Super disappointing, and shocked at the raving reviews. Literally everything we ordered was bland, with no flavor and honestly just not good. The waffle was like a school cafeteria waffle, which I didn't end up eating. Biscuits were tasteless, and somehow doughy on the inside, but overcooked on the outside. Chicken was cheap meat with no seasoning. There was also no REAL maple syrup, just corn syrup. Personal preference, but still something to note. Aside from that, the hostess was pretty rude when we asked a question about our order, not only to us but also to the table next to us as well, as if she was insulted that we asked her and not the server. Perhaps if the server came around we would. Would not return or recommend.

Suggested by staff at the Moxy. The food was delicious, and the staff was really wonderful. We ate our meal in the back room, which worked out well, cute space.

My partner ate cinnamon roll and loved it; I had apple pie and ice-cream, which was better than the diner at Carnegie Hall. Recommended.

The service was friendly and the food was made promptly, but the cooking was a bit lacking for the price. The fried chicken didn't have any crunch and left a bit to be desired.

Came here for the first time as I'd heard good reviews, and they were right! Staff here are lovely and the fried chicken and waffles were to die for- especially the blueberry preserves! The banana cream pie was recommended to me by the staff, and it was truly delicious. Will definitely be back next time I'm in NY.

A solid brunch spot serving up some classic fried chicken and your favourite pies. It’s definitely not the best spot for soul food, I was a little disappointed by the lack of flavour and detail. Overall it’s worth coming to but you could go further a field for that truly special diner.? The best part was the Pecan Doughnut. Great glaze and the pecan flavour was one of the best I’ve had. Slightly dry inside was the only complaint but an a great 9/10 doughnut.? The 9/10 Key Lime Pie was really good, second favourite dish.? The fried chicken was a little dry and the cuts were not particularly well selected. The waffles were on the soggy side instead of slightly crispy.? Mac n cheese was quite good although they could vary the cheese to make it creamier and have more flavour.
