It was okay overall. The food was mixed — the burrata was fantastic and left a great impression, but I was pretty disappointed by the bland chicken milanese. The service left a lot to be desired as well. It was very slow and we often had to flag our waiter, or even other staff, down to order or close out. Overall not worth it for the price.

Food was a bit disappointing for me.. Ricotta crostini was charred, eggplant pomodoro pasta salty; the only saving grace was the dessert - olive oil cake.

Nothing here is bad. But the menu leaves a lot to be desired, both food and drink wise.

Perhaps just an off night, bartenders couldn’t be bothered (as a former bartender) and the food seems like it would be excellent minus all the Mrs. Dash.

Food here is generally tasty and reliable but service unbelievably rude. Did a walk-in last night on a sidewalk table. The waiter threw food down, didn’t even say hello or make eye contact and made us feel so unwelcome we left after appetizers to go next door. We literally were made to feel like we had offended him personally somehow it was wild. When we paid the bill he had the temerity to put the tip at 30% on the machine which was laughable. Genuinely some of the worst service imaginable.

Great drinks, service, very nice vibe & every plate we had was delicious! Didn’t love the wine but I might just be too picky in that department (though I think a bit more variety considering it’s Italian food would have been better). Otherwise, 10/10

Good wine selection and happy hour. We had the crudo & fava beans apps which were both delicious. Pasta dishes were flavorful and the chicken dish was top notch. Will be back

We were very disappointed given how much we love colonie. The small plates were very lackluster (we got the crudo, market greens and fava beans). The chicken Milanese was burnt, the anchovies were a nice touch though. I also found it to be quite pricey for the experience on offer.

Pre pandemic we loved this restaurant - the food was delicious - but sadly it continues to go downhill. After several lack luster meals we’ll be avoiding it in future. This week the insalata which lists snap peas as the prime ingredient didn’t have a snap pea in sight. When we questioned this the chef insisted they were chopped in the salad - but they remained invisible to the eye or tastebuds. It was just a pile of lettuce with a nondescript dressing. The lovely young woman behind the bar took the salad off our bill but really - a snap pea salad without snap peas? And what is it with the beer list? Craft beers are fine but with food let’s just have a simple lager option.

Portions are too small. If you're gonna charge $30 for a plate of pasta, it should be a full meal (especially when you label it a "large plate")!The carbonara sauce had good flavor. The pork tasted salty and crispy, but otherwise a bit hollow. They brought me the eggplant basil pasta by mistake. It meant I didn't leave hungry, but it definitely made me glad I ordered the carbonara. I would have been disappointed in the flavor too if the eggplant one was my meal.
You'll become a regular because you'll love the staff as much as the food & drink.
