Pre pandemic we loved this restaurant - the food was delicious - but sadly it continues to go downhill. After several lack luster meals we’ll be avoiding it in future. This week the insalata which lists snap peas as the prime ingredient didn’t have a snap pea in sight. When we questioned this the chef insisted they were chopped in the salad - but they remained invisible to the eye or tastebuds. It was just a pile of lettuce with a nondescript dressing. The lovely young woman behind the bar took the salad off our bill but really - a snap pea salad without snap peas? And what is it with the beer list? Craft beers are fine but with food let’s just have a simple lager option.

Portions are too small. If you're gonna charge $30 for a plate of pasta, it should be a full meal (especially when you label it a "large plate")!The carbonara sauce had good flavor. The pork tasted salty and crispy, but otherwise a bit hollow. They brought me the eggplant basil pasta by mistake. It meant I didn't leave hungry, but it definitely made me glad I ordered the carbonara. I would have been disappointed in the flavor too if the eggplant one was my meal.

You'll become a regular because you'll love the staff as much as the food & drink.

Come for the spritz, stay for the great wine selection and food. Pips is a gem that feels like a local yet cool hang out with the bonus of delicious food. Highly recommend. It's from the same team as Colonie so you can trust the whole experience- food and service.

Pips is amazing. The service, ambiance, and food are all incredible and I couldn't recommend it more highly! Perfect for a happy hour vibe, date night, or night out with friends.

Rude and inattentive hostess. Slow service, burnt toast, salad like a disgusting mess and very dark!

Appetizers were good but main means or Large plates were only fair. Drinks were good and our party of four was comfortable. Good scene both mellow and lively. Overall pretty good.

It’s my favorite martini ever ! It could be the olives. It could be that marine/chocolate aftertaste on your tongue. Let’s make out, martini! Also, the chickpeas are randomly great.

Very good all around! We were looking for oysters and came across this spot. It's very cute with nice ambiance. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a couple of cocktails, oysters, and pasta for dinner. The service was prompt and the food and drinks were tasty.

Came here last week for their soft opening and was so excited by it! They did such a great job with the space (used to be the chip shop), and the service is the same warm, wonderful team I've come to expect from this restaurant group (colonie just next door is their sister restaurant). The food menu is best described as a selection of smallish plates, I found it reasonably priced for the area. The sweet potatoes with 'njuda was definitely a must try! Chicken liver was also nice. Wine list is weird and wonderful, and definitely try the highballs off the cocktail menu to get yourself ready for some food. I'm excited to return and keep working my way through their menus.
