You’ll pay not only for the shrimp, but also for the ice cubes mixed in with them. And when you ask for extra ice to keep the fish fresh, there won’t be any available. The shrimp I bought also showed signs of being reheated - some had a slight redness like from having been heated before.
I went to this store for the first time. Wanted some fresh scallops, salmon and shrimps. The wild salmon was good and the shrimps too,but when i got home and opened the bag with scallops, the scallops smell was unpleasant and the taste was like they where standing in a shelf for longer time that they should have. Meanwhile, cooking them on pan with butter, it smelled like rotten eggs...that was very disappointing due to the price that it got it for. Not really sure if I would go to this store again.
Great. Wow
Lied about availability 3 days in a row just to get me to come back. Told me the tuna was ready to cut and I should return later that day! On the third day he told me he never received it!
I really wanted to support a local small business, but unfortunately, the oysters I picked up were a big letdown. Out of a dozen, only about half were okay — the others were pale, brittle, and clearly past their prime. The texture showed signs of protein breakdown, and some had to be thrown out in front of guests, which was embarrassing.
I was already hesitant when I saw them displayed on a tray with barely any ice, just a few cubes here and there — not ideal for keeping shellfish safe. I've bought oysters from many spots in the city and haven't encountered this level of inconsistency. Sadly, I can’t recommend the experience.
Owner : I recommend more ice and an enclosure. Even embed the oysters in the ice while draining if possible.
Keeping track of the tags and batches is also crucial.
Other reviews seem good but I can’t really see how they can be accurate.
Do they accept ebt? And do they sell the king crab legs ? Lobster tails? Is it fresh and safe I keep hearing g in these reviews 🤔 about chemical smells on items smh 🤦
Fresh seafood, clean market, and very reasonably priced product. David was helpful in selecting and offering cooking suggestions.
I bought sea scallops today and unfortunately had to throw them away after cooking because they tasted strongly of ammonia. We called to let them know the scallops were spoiled, and the employee with whom we spoke was really rude and just kept insisting they were fine. Overall a terrible customer experience.
We received spoiled scallops that tasted like ammonia. I tried to chat with the owner about it and instead it turned into him yelling at me and telling me I dont know what I’m talking about. Really treated me rudely. And the scallops were def not good. But also- why scream at me?
Based on the good reviews, I decided to get some seafood here. As another reviewer mentioned – the smell of chemicals is strong here and it seeps into the seafood!! Buyer beware!
I bought some fresh scallops and salmon for cooking at home, but when I opened the scallops bag I was hit with a strong chemical smell and the scallops were really wet which meant not fresh. I still attempted to pan fry them but in the end had to throw them out because they tasted like chemicals too. The salmon was completely falling apart when I cooked it and was mildly eatable, but that isn’t saying much.
I love supporting a neighborhood business, but not when the seafood is that awful! And expensive, considering for the quality you receive.

My favorite place to buy fish and the gentlemen their are sooo helpful and friendly
Stopped by to get some wild caught salmon and sea scallops. Everything looked nice and fresh. The place was neat and clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. My salmon and scallops were excellent.
I want to like this store but the smell of chemicals is so strong in here; I can’t be in there for longer than a few minutes. Otherwise the people are nice and I’ve bought from them a few times.
The wild king salmon is the best thing here. When grilled, it is melt in your mouth soft and fatty. I've been buying it here for years and it's always consistently great.
I also like the whole fresh fish here, they always clean them well.
The fillets are fresh enough to be used for ceviche and other raw dishes.
Decent selection of seafood and fish. I was hoping to find whole lobsters or head-on shrimp with no success unfortunately.
