Locals swear by this place (I live down the street) and I’ve tried it at least 5 or 6 times in the last 3 years (always when I’m hungry and can’t bother to find something else), but it’s honestly just not good. And I’ve gotten sick from the food at least once.
I’ve always felt the veggies didn’t look or taste fresh, the pita bread is dry, and the shawarma just doesn’t do it for me. The falafel I’ve had was overcooked but that might have been a one-time thing because I know others who like them.
I honestly don’t understand all the local love for the place. The owner is very nice and I wish it was better, but there are just much better options for middle eastern not too much further away. Wish it was better, but it’s not.
Incredible food/service across the board. Very fresh and seasoned to perfection. Highly recommend the Kufta Kabob sandwich!

Simple food place. Smells really good. But, understaffed and server was honest he didn’t want to make dishes requiring a lot of effort because of understaffing. I took the pre-made rice pudding and it was not good. Edible but caked with cinnamon and just not good. Other food looked and smelled good but I was told it didn’t taste as good as expected.

Do yourself a favor and check this place out. The food is delicious, the owner is amazingly nice, and it’s fairly priced. Cash preferred though. The US an atm in the restaurant
