Ordered catering for a work event of 40 via Poppy’s and it was incredible! The food was delicious, healthy, fresh, and beautifully arranged on serving platters - all we had to do was take off the lid. We were able to order everything we needed from them as a one stop shop - coffee, tea, cases of water, breakfast pastries, lunch, plates and utensils, cups — which made it so convenient for planning our day. Everyone was so helpful from Abe and Elle who helped tweak the plan & invoice to reflect our specific dietary needs to the driver / delivery person who was very friendly and helpful in unloading the food and setting it up. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others for catering services for events large or small.

Cute bakery. Not too many options as far as baked goods but what they had was good. I got the Pumpkin Slice to take home. 1 slice was enough for my mom and I to share. It was very tasty. The prices are fair. The service is good.

The two men who work there are extremely rude and it makes me never want to go back. It’s also overpriced

Another of what I would call « western ideology of good individual ingredients, poor overall combination and attention to detail ». The biscuit, bacon, sauce, eggs were all very well made on their own, but the sandwich was unenjoyable as a whole. The sandwich was way too big to eat as-is (I have a large mouth), and even after taking the top biscuit off, the biscuit to filling ratio was too high.
Even the very nice flaky salt was sprinkled in a single spot instead of evenly over the biscuit, resulting in at least one overly salty bite for no good reason :(

Great but everything is a bit salty!!! Just eating the soba noodles and my tongue is on fire. Same w the chicken salad. Would be great if you could cut down on the salt
pricier but not better than other cafes in the neighborhood. Inconsistent drinks, lids always leak, specials are just ok. Waits can be long during morning rush and lines out the door bc the inside is very small.
Used to be good deal for their breakfast club coffee subscription but got discontinued. On a quiet street so can be pleasant to sit outside when the weather is nice though the nice outdoor seating has also been dismantled and it’s unclear if it’ll be back after winter ends. When it’s not packed, can be nice to browse various trendy home goods.
Vibe of customer is what you’d expect, yuppy Aime Leon Dore millennials who probably aren’t very price sensitive lol

Original review 5 stars a year ago: Please consider not giving takeaway packaging for dine-in customers :)
New review: Had to change my review. Standards have slipped in both coffee and food to a point where I don’t recognise.
Customer service experience was final straw. British guy working was shook when I ordered an iced latte. Like gave me weird mean attitude for ordering a coffee at a place that sells coffee haha. He didn’t know what he was doing also and extracted espresso shot in mere seconds. He spoke harshly to elderly lady for asking him a question, didn’t greet people back, just barks at us with a scorned victim look.
I was an ambassador for poppys, even bought merch. But it’s clear they now treat their supporters with contempt.

Nah. Not worth it. Would rather spend my money at Byclio, similar concept of fresh products without pretentiousness. Had the lemon poppy loaf and it was so dense. If you are a person of color be prepared to get looked up and down. Not just by people behind the counter but by customers, even if it’s subtle.
One of my fave neighborhood spots! Coffee is 10/10. Many cute things on display for gifts etc.
