I came with a party of 2 for my friends birthday. It wasn't busy inside and we were seated right away. The place inside looks awesome. The art is cool the atmosphere is nice. The menu is very selective. I tried ordering a dish of the menu that had steak as the meat and I wanted to switch it to chicken because I don't eat steak. All I got was: The chef said No. I resulted in the shrimp, which I would not recommend. My friend enjoyed his steak dish. And the birthday song part was fun. Flan was more like a custard, but very enjoyable. I probably wouldn't go back. Thank you to the staff and I hope the chef gets nicer.

The restaurant is located in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. The restaurant prepares Spanish/Latin cuisine. I ordered the grilled salmon with sweet potatoes, corn, avocado mousse and pickled red cabbage. The chicken fajitas included red and green peppers, poblano mole, white rice, pico de gallo, frijoles, guacamole and two flour tortillas. The fish empanada was good and shaped like a fish. The restaurant is decorated for the Halloween holiday. Friendly and helpful staff.

Lovely food and good drinks. Really nice atmosphere and the location was nice too. The food in the area is hit or miss (not everyone should have a restaurant you know) but this place really has something special. Please go here so they don’t ever close!

Puertas is for everyone. From amazing food, great drinks and the best staff around Brooklyn. The vibe is just right with live music and different DJs all the time. Even if I just pop in for a drink or 2 at the bar I never leave disappointed. There’s no other place in Bay Ridge quite like Puertas.

Cute place. Drinks were good. Food was ok. Tostones were tough. Service was nice and attentive, but a lot of unnecessary reaching over you to pass out food and drinks. Ended up spilling sauce on the table.

I came here for my pre- birthday dinner. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. The decor and ambiance of this restaurant are great. Throughout the restaurant, there are pics of legend latin artists. The menu has a variety of food choices to choose from. I love how the menu has different latin dishes from different countries. The bar is nice and spacious. For drinks, we ordered Coco Cruz, Ruben Blades Rum, and a frozen strawberry margarita. Drinks were nice and strong.

Appetizers were delicious. We ordered guacamole with tostones, shrimp ceviche, and Empanadas. I loved how each empanada was shaped differently to distinguish the filling inside.

For our main entrees, we ordered the Bandeja Paisa, Ropa Vieja, and Carne Asada. All three dishes were delicious and packed with flavors. For dessert we ordered dairy free tres leche cake and a coconut flan. Both desserts were delicious. Staff came out to sing happy birthday to me. We were brought out free shots.

Overall, this place is amazing. The bathroom is kept cleaned. Staff was very attentive and super friendly. We will definitely be returning back. Keep up with them on social media, where they post when they have brunch events or live bands in attendance. Amazing latin restaurant in Bayridge.

Terrible tasteless food. Service is not good they only pay attention to large parties of people. Carne asado was chewy and not tasty I needed more chimichurri sauce to knock out that harsh meat taste. When I cook steak it’s flavorful their steak was not. My husband said his grilled chicken was bland not spice or taste to it: As local Latinos we wanted to support them but they aren’t cutting it. Real Latin food is known for its spices and unique flavors these traits were absent at the table. Rice and beans was not ur traditional PR or DR style, one tip to the owner don’t fuse Latino flavors, keep authentic plates and you’ll see ur business thrive. For now you guys need to seriously see this or like other bay ridge restaurants your gonna see ur way out sooner than u plan. Please change ur cooks or the recipes. I didn’t not enjoy my expensive dinner neither did my husband or my son. I never like to leave reviews like this but this isn’t the first time I feel like after eating at Puertas.
