Amazing authentic Mexican spot. Unbelievable fresh made guacamole. We had the elote, birria tacos, and shrimp tacos. Everything was served fresh and came out very quickly. Great staff and the bartender made a mean spicy mezcal margarita. Highly recommended! Will definitely return.

My husband and I were walking the street and stopped in because it smelt so good! We were not disappointed. I ordered the enchiladas rojas and he ordered the chicken fajitas. The refried beans were incredible! We also enjoyed the blackberry margarita. We will absolutely be back!

Such a cute whole in the wall restaurant in Brooklyn with great food at affordable prices. Came here for a late lunch and it did not miss! My boyfriend got the al pastor tacos and thoroughly enjoyed himself. I got the enchiladas suizas with cheese and loved it! I also appreciated the hearty serving of rice and beans with my enchiladas. Overall, this is a great place to stop by for some authentic (and affordable!) mexican food if in the area :)

We love Purépecha! The food is delicious and the staff are incredibly kind. We love the tacos dorados, enchiladas placeras, their fresh tortillas, and their fresh tortilla chips. They have a great happy hour with great deals. Every time we come in the staff remember us and are so warm. And we love supporting Latino owned and run local businesses. Oh and really great cocktail selection!

Excellent food! Very good service. The margaritas were so good. I got the mango one and always worry that just a dash of syrup is thrown in to add the flavor. But here it really had an excellent flavor. And the guac was so great!

We came here around 7:30pm on a Sunday night and were seated immediately. The place was pretty empty which was quite shocking given the food was incredible. They give you free chips & salsa to start which is rare for most places. The chicken tinga tacos were perfectly flavored, so filling & satisfying. The fajitas also were solid with all the fillings for the tortillas and extra sauces they brought us. We were both so full at the end. The waiters were so attentive but not rushing in any way. Overall the energy was nice and relaxed. Definitely will be going back to try other things there or get the chicken tinga tacos again because they were so good!!

Food is authentic Mexican Food! I ordered the chips , queso & Elote for starters . The queso Purepecha makes is what queso is supposed to taste like & the chips are real corn tortillas... so delicious! The elote was remarkable, not too much cojita or chili pepper . For entrees I got the Bandera Mexicana burrito , it will definitely satisfy your burrito craving ( it's smothered in sauce fyi) . My friend ordered the steak & fajita tacos , he loved them . The service was Amazing to say the least . We were well taken care of . The decor of the place was cozy and cute . Low lighting . Overall love this place and will be ordering from here again !

Great Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood. They have happy hour 4-8pm and margaritas are $8. Strong and delicious. Also their platter was amazing. Steak and shrimp cooked on a charcoal grill. Definitely will come back.

Excellent value with excellent food! Great serving size of guac for the price and it’s very fresh. We asked for spicy and it wasn’t very spicy, so if you like spice maybe say extra spicy. The chips and salsa are super delicious! We got fish tacos and the veggie burrito. My partner who grew up in the city and lived here all her life says they’re the best fish tacos she’s ever had in nyc. The veggie burrito was crazy good, full of flavor, and huge. The tortilla it was made on was ?Moral of the story. Go here and support them. This quality of food at those prices is rare now in the city. Help them keep it that way!Oh and the blackberry cadillac Marg was also great. I was worried it was gonna be sugary and overly sweet. It wasn’t, it was well made and tequila forward.

My mezcal margarita was absolutely delicious. Though, for $14, you'd think they would fill up your cup as opposed to handing you a glass that's only 75% full. We are visual creatures so if you hand me a cup that's 75% full, my mind immediately thinks it's 25% empty. Perhaps serve it in a smaller glass or give me more margarita. Just a suggestion.I got the surf and turf ($21): 6 pieces of shrimp and a skirt steak with rice and beans, some guacamole and sour cream. Really delicious and I would totally get it again. The house hot sauce is ? ? ?. If they bottled it and sold it, I would totally buy it.
