One is better off going to Brooklyn Public House. Better food, more authentic than this imitation pub. I only go here if BPH is too crowded. The food is ok, but the service is inconsistent. I would have spent more money, but I found one of the bartender’s to be rude. The other guy was chill, but when the next shift guy came in, the whole vibe changed.
Every neighborhood should have a place like Putnam’s. It’s an easy going pub with good food, lots of seating, and extensive drinks selection. Killer Happy Hour. Great solo or in a group. We like to sit at the bar- feels like Cheers.
everyone who works here is amazing!
Lovely gastro pub in the heart of Clinton Hill. Cozy spot with delicious food and drinks and a great crowd. Nice happy hour specials. Def check out the oysters (yum). One of my fav bars in C.Hill.
Great margs and even cooler vibes! The Irish make a mean marg! Efficient service and stellar French fries. Can’t wait to explore the area as an upcoming resident! Will be back :)
Great bar! Good food! So fun
Went for brunch and had to Lemon ricotta pancakes with a blueberry compote and they were absolutely delicious, just the right amount of food. Waitstaff efficient and friendly. I sat outside and enjoyed the nice weather and quiet atmosphere, let it be known inside was quite loud though.
The ambiance and decor is really cozy and classy. The service is exemplary. Good draft list and great cocktails.
However, despite the food being delicious, the portion sizes are such a rip off given the ridiculous prices. I've seen cheaper menus in Midtown. We paid $8 for a side of onion rings that came with six onion rings TOTAL. The Mac & cheese was $16 for a small ramekin. $8 to add less than an ounce of halloumi to a salad. Burgers are $15-$22 per and don't come with a side.
I'd recommend it for a happy hour but steer clear of making dinner plans. Even if you don't mind the incredibly steep prices, chances are you'll leave hungry due to the stingy portions.
Was in the neighborhood on Saturday. Stopped in for dinner. What a nice experience. I wish we had a proper pub like this on the UWS. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area.
Took 14 mins at the bar and still have not asked me what I wanted to drink. To acknowledge me. Bad timing I guess
