Waiting staff was very attentive, the prices were reasonable, and the food was served quickly and tasted great.

Great ramen spot with a warm, inviting ambiance and great, friendly service. The Shoyu duck broth was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The noodles were cooked to perfection. A must-visit for ramen again.

The food tasted like it’s from frozen supermarket aisle. When we left the store, the lady asked me and my friend who are visiting from London to pay again because our payment didn’t go through (showed her on my phone the minus in my bank balance - it went through). Really horrible ending to my meal (why would I pay again, looked at my statement today - it went through). So silly, waste of my time plus mid food. Plus overpriced. Don’t bother. When all your customers are Caucasian, you know the food can’t be that authentic.

Went with a party of 9 (which included 5 kids). Service was excellent, the kids were well taken care of. The food was AMAZING. From the appetizers to the ramen, everything was done with care. The edamame was the first thing that hit the tables. A normally humble dish was elevated with salt, sesame, a nice char, and a spritz of lemon. Everything else was on the same level. Highly recommend for a casual date or a group gathering.

Steam rises from porcelain bowls
like morning fog on city streets,
where duck broth whispers secrets
of hours spent simmering deep.
The waitress glides between tables,
her smile genuine and bright,
adjusting shrimp buns without question—
making every detail right.
Mango salad dances on the tongue,
sweet and sharp and fresh and new,
while chopsticks hover expectantly
over treasures in the brew.
In this corner of the city,
where noodles curl like stories told,
we find more than just our dinner—
we find moments to behold.
Decent, if uninspired ramen. I want to say it's a bit over priced as well, but given that everything in NYC costs a kidney I suppose it's properly priced.

I went here (9/24/2024) because I was craving ramen, and I happened to be in the area. I ordered Tonkotsu (my go-to) Ramen with chili paste, and Takoyaki as an appetizer.
The Takoyaki tasted amazing and came out fresh and hot, and the ramen itself was great! The broth especially tasted great, the chili oil adding an extra kick I liked.
I would definitely come back here if I'm in the area again.

If you're looking for authentic ramen noodles, than The Ramen Spot will be one of Manhattan Avenue's finest options. In terms of flavor, The Ramen Spot delivers wholeheartedly. I ordered both the Tonkatsu ramen and the Miso Vegan Ramen, and both dishes were excellent. I ordered a side of extra miso eggs and their homemade chili paste to compliment my meal.
The tonkatsu ramen centerpiece, the broiled pork belly, was excellent. The noodles in both dishes were toothsome and cooked nicely, and both broth's were rich and bursting with their respective flavors.
Service at The Ramen Spot was also quite good, though I suspect that to be because I was the only patron in the restaurant that night. I came in on a Saturday night at about 9:00, an hour and a half before closing. When I got there, there was one other patron finishing up his meal, the rest of the restaurant was totally empty. I suspect this is because I came in so late at night, when most other Brooklynites had already finished their meals and moved onto the drinks. Even so, it was surprising, and a bit jarring, to see the restaurant as effectively a ghost town.
While the service and food were both good, I do have some minor complaints. For one, I was warned about the chili paste when I ordered it, I was told I "definitely wouldn't need more than one." As a spicy food enjoyer, I was very excited by the idea of a very spicy ramen, and insisted that they bring both of the orders of chili paste. When it arrived to me, i was dismayed to discover that it was actually quite mild, and lacked any real bite or further depth. This disappointed me, because the sides of chili paste were an additional two dollars per portion.
This brings me to my main complaint about The Ramen Spot, and the reason I simply cant bring myself to give the food a perfect 5/5, the price. The Ramen Spot definitely falls into being one of the more expensive bowls of ramen that I've had. Its not outrageous, but it seems excessive given how expensive the soup additions also are.
Unfortunately, I would be an insincere food enjoyer as well not to mention that during my meal, a roach did run across my foot and under the booth seating. It turned my stomach a bit, but being Brooklyn, it wasn't a huge turn off, and did not prevent me from enjoying my meal.
Overall, The Ramen Spot is a place that all Japanese food enjoyers should stop by when their in Greenpoint.
Vegetarian options: There are a few vegetarian appetizers, but the only veggie main option is the vegan miso. They also specify that there are no ingredient swaps allowed on the menu, which was a bit discouraging.

Some of my favorite vegetarian or vegan ramen. The toppings are so meticulously done and it's so nourishing and comforting. If you like spicy stuff go for the homemade chili paste and stir some in. Also I really like the fruit sodas and the calpico drinks. Pleasant decor and lighting, and consistently friendly staff.

Brilliant Ramen the mango salad was super bomb. The edamame was charred and super tasty. They put some magic power in that dish. Tatsu and chicken Ramen also very bomb.
10/10 great food. Turn up the music :)
