Ethiopian is always great, but this place is a step above anything I’ve had elsewhere. One of my favorite NYC restaurants.
We each tried one of the bowls, so tasty! Everything on the menu looked spectacular, choosing something was the hardest part. If I was local there’s no doubt I’d be here every week! We also each ordered a beverage, very refreshing. Crystal was wonderful, as were all the staff members. Highly recommend!
Love this place for a nice dinner. The food is excellent and the drinks/ambiance and also very nice! They have a good loyalty program so we got $20 off on our second visit, which was a great bonus.
Went in not knowing what I wanted and I was not disappointed with the meal nor the suggestions.
I got the mushroom sandwich with a salad and my kind server recommended the Sorrel Iced Chai. Everything was amazing!
Also, I love the art & ambiance of the space! Will definitely return on my next visit to NY.

Consistently the best, friendliest, most delicious, wonderful place in New York. I’ve been more than 8x and have had most of the menu by now, and I can’t love it any more than I do! I literally take everyone here - HA! Special shout out to Ingrid and Crystal. Those gals rock!!!!

Heard a lot of great things about RAS and glad we finally came by. We ordered some of the most popular items on the menu and everything was delicious. As far as Ethiopian cuisine, the food is just okay. We’ve had other Ethiopian vegetarian dishes which had a bit more of a wow factor to it. I love the vibe inside and the people are wonderful here. It’s a great place to try something new out and get some delicious drinks. Would highly recommend stopping by and trying this place out if you haven’t yet.

Ras Plant Based is hands down one of the best plant-based restaurants I’ve ever been to. The flavors are bold, fresh, and authentic—every dish we tried was a hit! The injera was perfectly tangy and soft, and the variety in the sampler platter gave us a great taste of what Ras has to offer. You can tell everything is made with care.
A special shoutout to Ingrid, our server, who made the experience even better. She was warm, attentive, and gave us fantastic recommendations. Her energy really matched the vibe of the restaurant—welcoming and full of life.
If you're looking for vibrant Ethiopian-inspired vegan cuisine and a staff that treats you like family, Ras is a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back!

I had one of the platters (I think the less spicy one) and it was delicious, filling, and feel-good. The staff was nice and the decor was inviting. The chai iced tea and the watermelon ginger beer drinks were so amazing.

RAS Plant Based is a true haven for anyone seeking delicious, wholesome, and creative plant-based cuisine. From the moment I walked in, the vibrant and cozy atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff were incredibly welcoming and passionate about the food they serve.
The menu offers an impressive variety of dishes that are both nutritious and bursting with flavor. I started with the avocado and quinoa salad — fresh, light, and perfectly seasoned. For my main, I chose the jackfruit tacos, which were unbelievably flavorful, with a great balance of spices and textures. My friend had the mushroom stroganoff, creamy and rich without any dairy.
What really stood out was the creativity behind each dish — proving that plant-based food can be exciting and satisfying. The smoothie bowls and fresh-pressed juices were a refreshing bonus, adding even more healthful options to the menu.
Service was attentive and friendly, making sure all our questions were answered and dietary needs met. RAS Plant Based isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a lifestyle choice made delicious. Highly recommended for vegans, vegetarians, or anyone curious about plant-based dining. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

The experience of eating here was worth the plane ride alone from LA. Unbelievable service, incredible flavors, nothing is better.

This place stays ahead of expectations. Very interesting menu and glad this spot exists! The cost structure is fair for good food. The service approach was notably helpful and good. The style here doesn't conform.
