RAAAAAH this place is a Brooklyn best. Flavorful Ethiopian food with a few twists here and there. The Kitfo plate is our go-to entree pretty much every time. We also consistently get the Lentil Sambusas which come with a fiery hot sauce. If you want something more classic, they have two sandwich options. A Lentil based burger or a Lion’s Mane Chicken sandwich. Both are really good and come with fantastically seasoned fries. If you go for brunch they’ve got a handful of awesome breakfast items like an SEC, Breakfast burritos, and even a vegan vanilla ice cream infused French toast which is a MUST. Head to Ras for the vibes. Updated from previous review on 2026-02-05

Chic but warm little restaurant with leafy decor and teensy tables. We were able to try: The cucumber salad The lentil dip The mama’s tofu The tibs The chick’n burger, which uses a lion’s mane base I just made seitan and vegan tibs from scratch the other day and I know it takes HOURS of labor between the niter kibeh, the seitan, and the slow-stewed sauce. This place is a treat! Presentation is very fun and cocktails seal the deal. Don’t miss. Updated from previous review on 2026-01-05

Went on a little friend date where we got cocktails and spilt one of the combos! Everything was amazing. Hard to stop eating when you’re full kinda good. The service and staff were super friendly.

Ethiopian cuisine is incredible as it is, so when you find a restaurant that takes it to the next level, you take note! RAS is definitely one of them; bonus points for the incredible vibe! Highly recommend the seitan tibs and the mercato.

Everything was delicious and the service was amazing. The injera nachos were delicious and the platter for 2 was enormous. My mocktail was also reasonably priced. Definitely will come back!

The platter for 1 was good. The Mac n cheese was ok. Was expecting something different, but not for $12, portion was too small for the price and taste

Ethiopian is always great, but this place is a step above anything I’ve had elsewhere. One of my favorite NYC restaurants.
