Staff was really attentive and nice. I might bring some friends here again.

Fun establishment, but highly disappointed that the bar did not offer free tap water, especially during a heat wave.

Intimated and robbed by staff. ?

After visiting the restroom I attempted to purchase a pack of mints from the bathroom attendant. I asked the attendant the price, told me $5, and I handed them a $20 bill.

The attendant proceeded to count out the change which I saw was obviously $10 and 5x $1 bills. ( from that I usually think, “Nice, I’m definitely a into tipping people who help keep the space clean/safe”)

At this point they looked down at the money and back to me. I believe was at this point they decided to fleece me. ?

The attendant started gesturing for me “to return the mints” as if I needed to give them something. (!?) I asked them what was happening and asked why he wasn’t giving me change. He responded, you owe me for those. I was especially confused since I had already paid for them and was waiting on my change.

Someone wearing “security” style tacticool vest snatched the mints from my hand and told me to “pay him”. (He was already holding my change… ?)

Obviously, I didn’t pressure this and backed away.

Nectar in Brooklyn is a hidden gem that never fails to impress. With its cozy atmosphere and welcoming vibe, it's become a favorite spot of mine. Whether you're in the mood for a laid-back evening or a lively night out, Nectar has you covered.

The food here is simply divine, with each dish bursting with flavor and creativity. From the appetizers to the main courses, every bite is a delightful surprise. And the cocktails? They're expertly crafted and always hit the spot.

But what truly sets Nectar apart is its live music scene. Whether it's a local band or a talented DJ, the entertainment here is top-notch. It adds an extra layer of excitement to an already amazing experience.

If you're looking for a place that offers great food, fantastic drinks, and unforgettable music, look no further than Nectar. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

It’s okay. Friendly and responsive staff (mostly except the bar below - the girltender just plopped ice cubes into my water splashing all over). Beware of Auto Gratuity 20%, a delivery Fee of over 3% and a Credit Card Surcharge 3% AND IF THAT IS NOT ENOUGH when you complete the transaction there is STILL a prompt for a TIP. Glad I asked for a receipt, which calculated results in a 40% charge up after taxes and fees. You decide.

The drinks are alright. Not strong but ALRIGHT. I ordered two drinks the passion fruit margarita and the not your grandmas pie. My friends also ordered the watermelon splash. First of all, who gives pieces of watermelon when a whole piece of the drink presentation is missing?! It’s supposed to be a triangle piece shaped watermelon. Reason why I’m emphasizing this is because other people from other tables were getting amazing looking drinks while ours were pretty much mediocre (hence the cut up watermelon picture that’s included in this review post.)
I don’t know who the bartender that was there today at 3pm until 6 pm but they kept messing with the drink orders.

Overall, I wasn’t impressed with the presentation of the drinks but they taste…meh. The order for the food was a MESS. Even though we all ordered together (there was 8 of us) the food didn’t come out together even though the order was simply just French fries and the wings. Only one French fry order came out and we waited for the rest of the order for more than a half an hour.

The music and the vibes was nice and I loved it but it was the drinks and how the orders came out that messed up the whole experience.
What was even messed up is that we made a reservation WEEKS PRIOR (I’m emphasizing this because I found this really ridiculous) because it was a birthday celebration and once we came in they told us that “it’s a first come
First serve basis” so what was the point of a reservation then?!?!?! No one said it on the phone about it when we were reserving. So much miscommunication.
Mind you, we were seated at a spot where it was only about 5-6 people can sit at. It wasn’t even a seating area for 8 people. It was uncomfortable.

What was also worse is when we were trying to do a “happy birthday” song none of the staff came out not even like two or three of them just to sing a happy birthday song like other restaurants do.

Heck, there was a waiter who willingly sang a soprano “happy birthday” song for a family member of mines in another restaurant and it was great!
