Had a wonderful evening at Recette! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Our bartender, Zdravko, was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and made the night even better. I highly recommend trying the braised short rib cavatelli — it was absolutely delicious, rich, and comforting. Can't wait to come back!

Visited Recette right as they opened at 10 on a Saturday morning for brunch solo. There was one other table there, but I was told they needed to keep the tables inside available for reservations. That meant I then had to sit outside during a cold day with ineffectual heaters. Being outside also meant that it took longer to be acknowledged. I ordered the Croque Madame, with the eggs a bit overdone, but it was ok. When I left almost an hour later, the only other table that was sat was that same one when I arrived. I hadn't made a reservation, so I understand having to take what I could get. But to not have any actual reservations, or any other people at all, come in during the entire time I was there meant that my experience was less enjoyable for no good reason. Don't know that the food was good enough to make a return visit when the customer service is so dismissive to walk-ins.

My girlfriend & I walked around Brooklyn trying to decide what to eat & stumbled upon this dope spot! The host, bartenders, waiters.. Whoever set the arrangements, everything was so great!
They recommended we share, so we started off with the Caesar salad then we had our main course the Short Rib Cavatelli with the Veal. Some fries on the side for good measure.
For dessert we also shared the bread pudding with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
Highly recommend this spot & please enjoy all that it has to offer. Speak to everyone that works there since they’re so nice and willing!

The food was great but that's not why I'm sharing this review. While we were having our dessert, another patron that was sitting at the next table spilled all of our drinks on my lap by accident. The waitress and manager did an amazing job at smoothing it over, they offered us drinks and comped a percentage of the bill and were just really proactive about it. Once again, the food was great but the staff also does an amazing job, highly recommend!
