We went on Valentine’s Day without a reservation and still got a table after waiting for a while at the bar. All server were attentive and they all worked very hard.
We got the Chong Qing Chicken, Lo Mein and Double cooked pork. Double cooked pork was one of the best dishes but I wished they put a little more meat in it. All the dishes came out hot, quick and savory! You wouldn’t want to miss out on this place in Bay Ridge!

I ordered via Seamless for delivery, but realized it had gotten processed as 'Pickup'. I immediately called Red Bowl to ask if they could deliver.
They said they had a $20 min for dinner-time delivery. The server asked if I wanted to add maybe some dumplings. I said sure. This then got my bill so that the order could be delivered.
Then she asked me my address. I told her, and she then said that they did not deliver to my street. I asked her to please cancel the order because I would not be able to pickup. She hung up on me.
They never cancelled my order. They never delivered the order. And they took $30+ of mine. :(
Not good business, Red Bowl. I was ready to make you my go-to place.
Another place going down the drain. Was always pricey but used to have good quality chicken. Quality has gotten worse each time I order and now half the order is basically inedible while the prices still go up. $20 for terrible sesame chicken is completely ridiculous.

I almost never go to Bay Ridge, but when I heard that this restaurant was good, I had to take a trip to try it for myself. It had a really great atmosphere, a bar upfront, and a lot of space to accommodate quite a few people. The food was great. I tried their Sesame Chicken and my girl; the crispy beef, which is very similar to the Sesame Chicken. Overall, the experience we had was good, we both liked the food, and the drinks were OK. The next time we visit, the bar would be the better option for sitting as it offers a better atmosphere for couples.

I like the place, the food, at least the one that made it to our table, was good, unfortunately from 8 dishes we ordered, 5 came at same time , 1 at 15 minutes later an 2 after 20 minutes from first one never came , we all had to share our food with our friends that did not get there dishes.

This was a nice place to visit in Brooklyn for good Chinese food! I really liked the hot and sour soup. Just right the amount of sweet and spicy. Our servers were nice and got us ordered quickly even though the restaurant was about to close. The fish tank was kinda dirty though I hope it they clean it soon.

I ordered take out with some colleagues and got the lunch special, Kung Poa chicken, I don’t know what I got. Tray full of peanuts and sprinkle of chicken , very disappointed. First and last. Never seen this version of Kung Poa chicken before.
What a pleasure to sit in a proper Chinese restaurant. For too long, Chinese food has been reduced to cookie cutter take out joints. The Red Bowl is as far from that experience as one can be. The food is excellent, the quality of the meat is high, the sauces flavorful and each dish feels lighter and cleaner than the typical take out experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and service is friendly. For those with celiac disease, while there is no separate gluten free menu, the restaurant is very accommodating and knowledgeable for those who need to follow a GF diet. Highly recommend.
Dietary restrictions: Good choice for those who need gluten free options.
