A classic tavern that lives up to its storied reputation. Went with the classics, a wedge salad and burger split between two people. It was a great portion size and the food was phenomenal. The wedge dressing was elevated by the fresh dill, and the burger execution was top notch. They recommend medium rare for the burger - That doesn’t always go over well, but this Tavern knocks it out of the park. Also, we walked in and got street facing counter views. Loved it!

Connor and Phil the GM accommodated us even we didn't had a booking and the kitchen was closed already, we came from England and they did a huge effort to serve us ( huge apologies and thanks to the kitchen team). It was the best burger we ever had, so simple and yet so hard to get to this level of cooking , honestly one of the best beef meals we ever had, thanks again to all the team for making the effort to having us.

The place was nice. Our reservation was perfect. We ate the onion soup. That was amazing. However, I got a burger unfortunately it was loaded with black pepper and salt. I asked for no seasoning on my french fries unaware that the burger had pepper on it. Just as an FYI, if you hate salt and pepper on your burger, make sure they don’t put it on. Probably should be on the menu that they put on the burger.

Prob one of the best burgers i ever had, salad was pretty good, french onion was fire, dont listen to the 1 stars, almost all of them are about BS, one of them even said dont come here if u are skin of color for example. Overall amazing place.

Came on a Monday without a reservation at 5pm and sat at the bar. Ordered the Dukes martini, croquettes, wedge salad, oxtail cavatelli and the burger. The place filled up after about 20 mins. Wedge salad was delicious and large! The sauce on the croquettes was delectable. The burger was buttery and big. Brought the cavatelli home as I was stuffed (the sauce was lovely, a hint of sweetness). They were playing 60s and 70s tunes 🥳

It is simply the best burger you will ever have. The hype meets reality. Reminds me a smaller version of Peter Lugers. The bacon on the salad is incredible too! 🍔

We got there early, lined up, waited respectfully, and asked for the bare minimum (table for 3!) and hostess was incredibly rude for no reason. A shame for the whole restaurant’s effort that the food might be decent but having service like that sours the whole experience. There’s enough good burgers in NY to go there and be treated without any sort of respect or kindness. Never coming back and wouldn’t recommend to do so.
