Consistently amazing food ready super fast. Our go to Thai place in the neighborhood for quite a while. Vegan options are amazing and the menu is impressive.Vegetarian options: Always good and don’t sneak in fish sauce as many other places do

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience today at Rim Nam Thai Kitchen compelled me to share. I placed an order through DoorDash, aligning my pick-up time with the restaurant's opening hours listed as 11:00 AM on Google. I arrived at 11:15 AM, expecting my meal to be ready or nearly so.Upon arrival, the cashier informed me that I was early, which was perplexing since it was 15 minutes after their stated opening time. He claimed that my order would be ready in another 5-10 minutes. Trusting his word, I waited patiently.Twenty minutes passed, and with no communication or food in sight, I approached the cashier for an update. That's when he casually dropped that the cook hadn't even arrived yet. This lack of communication and disregard for my time was both unprofessional and a significant inconvenience. When I decided to cancel the order due to the delay, the cashier was reluctant and suggested that I cancel it through DoorDash on my end. It was clear that cancelling the order from his end was straightforward and would have taken mere moments, yet he preferred to inconvenience me further. It's unacceptable for customers to schedule orders based on the restaurant's opening time, only to be left waiting indefinitely because the staff isn't ready to fulfill those orders. The casual indifference to my time and the resistance to efficiently handle the order cancellation was utterly disappointing. In the end, I left Rim Nam Thai Kitchen empty-handed and with my time wasted. I hope that the restaurant addresses these operational issues for the sake of future customers. I, for one, am hesitant to return or recommend this establishment after such a disorganized and poorly managed experience.

Cute restaurant in Dumbo area. Delicious Thai food, we had the Wok Basil Beef and Panang Curry Chicken with veggie spring rolls and rice. Nice spice level, just enough to make you sweat. Great, friendly service.

I ordered through Uber eats and the food took forever to be delivered but it was well worth the wait. I got pad kee mao (drunken noodles) with chicken. The flavors were delicious. Loved it.

Stumbled upon this place after Beat the Bomb and decided to get dinner here. My friend is Muslim so she had some questions about the food preparation. The woman who took our order was very patient and respectful and assured that they will use a clean pan to prepare her food. She even provided my friend with brand new utensils to use. I ordered the Khao Pad Poo (crab fried rice) and my friends ordered the Pad See Ew and the Pad Kee Mow (drunken noodle); all were flavorful and filling. All in all, we had a great experience here. Thank you!

I took delivery by DoorDash Food was okay but the amount of sauce they gave me I was shocked. It might be 3-5 drops. I would prefer better not to give it instead of 3-5 drops

Rudest customer service. Told me I was wasting her time, then hung up on me when I tried to pay. The food is way too mediocre for that kind of attitude. And no spice.

It's the best Thai food that I try in USA (Indiana, Chicago and New York). The best Tom Yum by chef Ae. Please try when you visit Brooklyn

You have to hunt a bit to find Rim Nam Thai but it is worth the search. The restaurant is in the rear of a storefront that also has a juice bar and coffee stand. I don't know if the businesses are affiliated but doesn't matter. To my taste, Rim Nam Thai is the best Thai food in Dumbo/Brooklyn Heights and perhaps one of the tops in NYC. My wife and I have tried a number of dishes here and each one has been outstanding. Last week we stopped in for a spectacular Green Curry Duck, Gui Chai Chive Pancakes, and Crispy Vegetable Spring Rolls. The duck was perfectly done--crisp on the exterior and moist and tender inside. The curry was glorious. The real surprise were the Gui Chai Chive Pancakes. Again, crisp and crunchy on the exterior and deliciously cooked on the inside. Other dishes we've had in the past include a marvelous Pad See Ew (rice noodles with broccoli and a soy sauce), Pad Thai (you know what that is), Gai Yang Khao San Kwang (half chicken with herbs and papaya slaw), and Sriracha Wings. Everything outstanding, fresh, and tasty. When you visit, don't be put off by the spartan interior. Everything is super clean and served with a warm and friendly vibe. It's not the most beautiful interior but you can't eat ambience, yes? Please be sure to visit Rim Nam Thai when you are visiting Dumbo. It's a nice respite from all those tourists who feel obliged to take that ubiquitous photo with the Manhattan Bridge in the background. If you live in Dumbo/Brooklyn Heights, be sure to get to Rim Nam Thai. Let's face it, our neighborhood leaves a lot to be desired in innovative cuisine (I wish we had Smith Street dining with Dumbo/Brooklyn Heights vibe), but Rim Nam Thai nails it every time. It's a winner!
