Extremely slow line - overpriced bland spring greens salad that took forever, they charged me for smoked salmon and forgot to add it, said no merguez salad side and yet you could see it on the counter. Do not come here for lunch
Great, friendly service and tasty food in good vibes!

Firstly wanna start off by saying I been here 13 years and I been a patron of Risbo since they came to Flatbush. I ignore the arrogant hipster vibes for the sake of good food but today they changed the rice(yellow) recipe to a plain rice which is more of a neutral taste just taste like white rice. They refused to swap it out for quinoa.
You should’ve let people know before you significantly change a recipe that someone is used to eating every time they come here and to show good customer service at the bare minimum swapping it out for quinoa, which is the same price . Instead I got a condescending “No”
I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 13 years and have been supporting Risbo since they first opened in Flatbush. I’ve always overlooked the occasional arrogant, “hipster” energy because the food itself was worth it. But today was a real disappointment.
They quietly changed the rice recipe from the flavorful yellow rice they’ve always served to a plain, neutral version that tastes like basic white rice — and when I asked to swap it for quinoa (which is the same price), I was flatly told “No.” No attempt at customer service, no understanding that regulars expect some consistency in what has always been a staple dish.
What makes this worse is the larger picture. Risbo sits in a predominantly Caribbean neighborhood, clearly borrowing from the energy, colors, and culture around it, but increasingly feels like it’s catering more to the very crowd that drives rents higher and pushes the rest of us out. The owner is French, pulling culinary inspiration from Morocco, and while that might look “fresh and eclectic” on the surface, it’s become clear the restaurant is leaning more toward Park Slope–style gentrification vibes than honoring or valuing the local community it claims to be inspired by.
This used to be a place that felt unique and rooted in something vibrant. Now it feels like just another spot trying to look “cool” for delivery apps and weekend crowds, at the expense of the neighborhood that kept it alive in the first place.

Incredible neighborhood spot. Nice little private patio in the city. Great cocktails and even better food.

There's a lot of competition in terms of delicious chicken in the neighborhood but Risbo's roast chicken is in a league of it's own. It's quite literally perfection. Sides are a bit greasy but solid vibes, service and other patrons! What a hidden gem for the neighborhood. Will be back to check out the happy hour soon!

I have been three times now and have decided it is my favorite place in Brooklyn to grab dinner with a group of people. I love that you order and pay up front but the vibes are still elegant and high-end. The chicken is phenomenal. One time I just went and got 1/4 chicken and nothing else and it made my day. Highly suggest this place for dinner. BUT I once got a chocolate croissant and it was stale. That was disappointing.

The food is great and they give you a good amount. The bread pudding was very good
The food is good. But you seat yourself and bus your own table. So I found it a little obnoxious that lowest default tip was 20% at the register. It’s not cheap so that would’ve over 6 bucks for just taking my order and and texting me to pick it up when it’s ready.
