I am not sure what has changed since Champ's reopened as Ro's, but the magic isn't quite there anymore... In a way it felt like they are charging fine-dining price for casual dining.... This diner serves food in plastic baskets, and the coffee was lukewarm, so it's sort of hard to justify the price... The music was also too loud for a conversation... It was always a good time visiting when this was Champ's.... I'm not sure what's missing... I hope the new ownership will eventually recapture the good vibes from before...
The staff was friendly and attentive. The food came out piping hot which I love. I ordered the Cheesy Cajun fish and grits and OMG, full of flavor and creamy. Everything you want from vegan diner food.
