This place is a neighborhood gem! I recently went for the third or fourth time. Food is excellent across the board. The ambience is 10/10. And the staff are so nice. I love this spot.

Went last night for St. Valentine’s day, I must confess I ended up here by mistake, my reservation was in another restaurant across the street, but for some unknown reason I came here and it was amazing, my only regret was not being here before… Food was beyond amazing, the lasagna is a MUST! I have never had something like that before, would love to go back again.
I would think that on a busy day like this, service/food might not be the best, but they proved me wrong, staff was very nice, they didn’t take forever with our food, music was nice too.
Can’t wait to go and try the brunch one of these days…
PS: I tried the cucumber drink, which is alcohol free and it was also very good, the olive oil cake since the tiramisu had finished,it wasn’t bad but I bet they have better options for desserts.

Rosticceria Evelina — cozy Italian comfort done right
On a freezing night, Rosticceria Evelina felt like a warm hug. Intimate, softly lit, and effortlessly romantic—the kind of place where you slow down and let the food do the talking.
We started strong with the Polipetti in Purgatorio—tender petit octopus swimming in a spicy, deeply savory tomato sauce al purgatorio, finished with fresh parsley and fett’unta for that rich olive-oil finish. Bold, comforting, and easily my favorite bite of the night.
The Foraged Mushrooms were earthy and elegant, tossed with thyme and paired with a punchy black garlic aioli, then balanced by salty aged ricotta. Every forkful had layers—umami, creaminess, and herbaceous depth.
The Sourdough Onion Focaccia came out warm and pillowy, topped with whipped ricotta, roasted tomatoes, and olives. Rustic, comforting, and dangerously easy to keep reaching for.
For mains, the Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe was textbook—perfectly al dente pasta, glossy pecorino sauce, and just the right hit of cracked black pepper. Simple, balanced, and executed beautifully.
The Burrata Ravioli was rich without being heavy, creamy on the inside with a delicate pasta bite that let the filling shine.
The fish dish (fresh, expertly cooked) brought brightness and balance to the table—clean flavors, beautifully seasoned, and clearly high-quality seafood.
We ended with an affogato, because obviously. Hot espresso melting into cold, creamy gelato—simple, indulgent, and the perfect finale.
Service was warm, attentive, and unpretentious—knowledgeable without hovering, making the entire experience feel relaxed and genuinely welcoming. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtfully seasoned, and intentionally composed, with flavors that complemented rather than competed.
A cozy Italian gem that knows exactly what it’s doing—comforting, soulful, and quietly impressive. ✨🍝

This place is fantastic for brunch. It opens at 10am, which is earlier than most Ft Greene restaurants (quizzically). Carbonara is excellent, the prosciutto eggs Benedict is solid and the chicken Caesar was super flavorful, which is no surprise because they are known for their rotisserie chicken. We will be back!!!

Great dinner. We had the onion focaccia and meatballs to start. We then had the broccoli rabe pizza, lasagna, funghi pizza and the burrata ravioli. Everyone loved their dishes. The pizzas were amazing and the lasagna was light. The tiramisu was amazing for dessert. Highly recommend!

Beautiful spot. I came here with my family on Thanksgiving and everything was excellent. We got the brussel sprout kale salad (balanced seasoning and texture), the soppressata pizza (crust was fluffy, sauce was delicious) and the lamb ragu lasanga (excellent, not too salty). Great vibes all around. prob really good for a date.

My wife and I are locals and usually stop by Rosticceria Evelina for a quick, easy dinner. We ordered a bottle of red, the Brussels sprout salad, a pizza, and the short rib.
Everything was fine until the short rib arrived—75% fat. I’m someone who doesn’t mind a fatty cut, but this was genuinely inedible. My wife and I have both worked in restaurants, and we almost never send food back unless it’s truly unacceptable. This was. I was shocked the kitchen would serve a plate like that.
We returned the dish and asked for the check. The manager offered to take 50% off the short rib and added, “It’s usually a fatty meat,” as if we’d never ordered short rib before. They also sent over a $15 dessert we didn’t touch, instead of just comping the dish that was inedible off the bill. When the server came over, we retold him and he didn't even attempt to resolve it. The customer service was terrible.
We live two blocks away and won’t be going back. Just go to the main Evelina on Dekalb—it’s miles better than this place.

This is an absolutely incredible restaurant. I've lived in the neighborhood for a while but didn't get a chance to try Rosticceria Evelina until recently. We had an amazing experience. The design of the restaurant is stunning, only to be outdone by the spectacular food. We sat in the back garden area which was intimate and elegant. The service was smooth and flawless. We also had the opportunity to chat with Nichole, who seemed to be the manager. She's passionate about the restaurant and commanded the room. It is a truly wonderful restaurant. Frito misto, lasagna and steak! Also, excellent wine recs. Can't wait to go back and bring friends!
