This was our first time coming to this restaurant. My husband and I were the first ones there and they were still prepping. The service was great and it’s a very very intimate spot like there’s only 6 bar seats and one 4top. The prefix menu was amazing and everything was so delicious. I’m glad the menu changes because we definitely want to go back and try new things. Wine options were on point too. If you’re looking for a casual date spot, then I would recommend. Also...
The food at Runner Up is creative, seasonal, and very good. The space is pretty and inviting but tiny, and feels very cramped and claustrophobic if there is a coughing person two seats down. But you can also escape and sit outside on the backless benches in the street booth. Much less comfortable but less stressful.

We sat right next to the shaft, who was telling us what he was up to while he was preparing the plates. Very friendly guy and the food was out of this world.
