Food is good, drinks are decent (a lot of the drinks are heavy on the ice), but the vibe here is always nice. However, there is one bartender who is always there every time I go now and she is always so rude! Always makes me feel so unwelcome and like she doesn't want me there or as if she is doing me some big favor by taking my order... no thanks...finally decided I won't be back, or will at least turn around if I walk in and see her behind the bar. Sucks because this is one of the few bars for POC left in the neighborhood, but i work too hard to spend my money somewhere where I get treated that way.

Good Vibes...Good Food

Stopped by for brunch at this cozy Caribbean spot. The vibe is great, with lively music setting a fun atmosphere. I ordered the jerk chicken hash, which had a mild kick, but I've had better jerk chicken elsewhere. Unfortunately, the service was very slow--it took quite a while to get anyone's attention for ordering or drink refills. The place was busy, but with only three or four servers managing the front, it felt understaffed. Overall, I probably wouldn't return.

Restaurant owners / management was inappropriately firing / terminating an employee in public, humiliating her in front of customers at the outside cafe tables while patrons were trying to peacefully dine. Ruined my appetite and dining experience. Extremely inhumane and disrespectful to her not to mention rude to and just showed their lack of management skills and extremely poor judgement. Will NOT be returning. (PS: the server was fabulous - loved her)

Good food but goodness, the service today was really bad. Our server seemed annoyed that we were a larger party. Didn’t feel welcomed at all. It also seemed like they were short-staffed? Maybe consider hiring more servers.

Food was so delicious, service was good but getting the food was a bit slow. However it was a Friday night so to be expected.

Highly recommend their dumping and jerk fish rice dish 😍

Also they have a DJ on Friday when I went and music and vibe was amazing.

WOW! An incredible must try Caribbean fusion! Your imagination won't do the place justice. Every dish was mouth-watering, fresh, and extremely creative.

Drinks were delicious and even a little lethal with the rum going down so smooth. Great place to come with a group!

It would be a crime to gate keep. (Citi bike parking too ;))

Curried Chicken 5/5

Really great dish. Coconut rice, so tasty. Curry base and chicken were perfectly cooked. Chicken was pretty tender surprisingly I could shred it pretty easily. Everything was flavorful, would recommend and definitely going back.

Only complaint is music was way too loud when we first got sat, hard to have conversation.

Sally’s in Brooklyn offers an earthy, laid-back atmosphere that’s perfect for a relaxed meal. The vibe is casual but warm, and the service was great—our waiter was incredibly attentive and offered some great recommendations. I started with the Fuggedaboutit, a classic tropical cocktail, and it hit all the right notes for a refreshing start. The wonton chips were a standout—light, airy, and perfectly crisp, paired with guacamole that was fresh.

The oxtail and rib dumplings were packed with flavor, offering a nice balance of heat and umami. Each bite had a rich, comforting and tender depth that lingered. The jerk fish was another highlight—crispy on the outside, yet soft and light inside, with a bold jerk flavor that had lots of heat- definitely one of the hotter jerk sauces I've had while eating out.

For something heartier, the crispy fried chicken sandwich was a winner. It was super crispy, karrage-style, and generously sauced, making it flavorful and satisfying.

Overall, Sally’s strikes the perfect balance between great food and a welcoming atmosphere. With attentive service and bold, memorable flavors, it’s a spot I’d definitely recommend anyone to check out when in the area.
