Salsa - Pizza Napoletana & Street Food

Unfortunately our food and drinks took forever for a small restaurant and only a couple tables occupied (especially considering we got wine). And then the wine came out two times with issues - once a dirty glass with food crust on it and next time with a fair amount of sediment in the wine. When the pizza finally came out (we got no customizations), they forgot to add pesto and a couple other ingredients the original pizza is supposed to come with. Staff looked pretty confused overall and unapologetic about the issues. The bathroom is disgusting as well. Would not go back.

I had my 40th birthday at Salsa Greenpoint and it was the perfect place for a pizza party :). The layout of the space was great, with plenty to seat and our own bathroom to access. The team was very accommodating with accepting deliveries and giving us time to decorate for the night.

The food was delicious and the unlimited food option for group parties was perfect! Everyone enjoyed the appetizers and pizzas, as well as the cannoli :)

Thanks again to Salsa for helping us make it a special night for friends & family, and myself. We all had a great time!

staff super nice and friendly. one of the best neapoliyan pizza ever. my favorite one is pizza fungi. i continuosly eating this pizza for 4 days . you guys what are you waiting for???

I just had this pizza for lunch. It was absolutely amazing. I got a grandma style slice. We were in a hurry and they had three big slices available. Most people order personal pizzas. They looked so good and after they came out of the brick oven I was amazed how delicious it was. Definitely coming back next time I’m in Greenpoint!!

Didn’t quite get the South American and pizza crossing. The pizza was not influenced by South American culture or cuisine. Felt a bit inauthentic. The pizza was decent and fast but my wife noticed the pizza crusts had been pre-cooked and piled up instead of being prepared fresh. It didn’t affect much and made the wait time less than three minutes but again a bit inauthentic. Not going to lie I enjoyed the mushroom pizza we ordered and would hop in for another bite. Perhaps my review will help the staff/owner create at least one menu item that would be a hybrid South American/ ny Italian style pizza.

they say they have vegan pizza but there's no vegan cheese so it's basically tomato sauce and bread. Thumbs down. They should get some NUMU CHEESE

One of the best Neapolitan style pizzas I’ve had in ny, better than most spots I’ve tried in Italy. Their sauce is balanced and the dought was soft yet not soggy like most I’ve had here. It held up nice with a decent crisp. Must try if in ny and craving Neapolitan.

Often have to add smth to their traditional pizzas but it’s def the most delicious crust I have ever eaten. Even compared to good places in Italy/other European countries.

Pizza is solid and a breath of fresh air when it comes to the pizza options in the area. And what they’ve done with the space is fantastic, great place to go with a group.

I love Salsa. We’ve been ordering their pizza since maybe COVID?? We also go to their restaurant and i love going there. It’s very kid friendly and works well for an early dinner with another family and their kids. Service is very quick. Other patrons are welcoming. I have yet to have wine or beer there but can’t wait to treat myself to wine and pasta there. I’ve never eaten anything bad there. Ingredients taste fresh. Pizza crusts are chewy and yummy. It’s a cozy ambiance. I want to go there one day for a solo meal and glass of wine.
