Love this place. Delicious Italian fare in upscale but friendly Brooklyn neighborhood just off Flatbush Ave. Meatballs and Caprese were perfect start to our meal, followed by delicious chicken, veal and pasta dishes. And the atmosphere was so pleasant. A family birthday was taking place and the staff were so friendly celebrating the young man's occasion. Plus the local musician played piano and accordion for the guests and took requests which was a wonderful addition to the experience.

The baked clams and salad we had for appetizers were very good. But it was hit or miss on the entries. Two of us had the linguine with white clam sauce, and all we tasted was lemon . The clams, although plentiful, were tiny, not little necks like I'm used to . Also needed some more garlic. The filet of sole was also a bust along with the penne al filetto. The rack of lamb, veal marsala, and spicy pasta with meat sauce were very good. Our server was ok.

Delicious food from start to finish, and great service from Manny! Excellent espresso martini as well. Charlie, the accordion player, really added something special to the evening. This was my first time @ Salvi and I look forward to going back.
Vegetarian options: The Cappellini Primavera was ???. There's another vegetarian pasta option as well, and plenty of salads.
