I've been eating here since the day they opened. In the beginning, they used to have really good deals for Lunch. Covid hit and they got rid of their lunch specials. Everything else stayed the same taste wise except for the Pad Thai. They've gotten so stingy with the ingredients. It used to come with sliced Tofu and authentic Pad Thai sauce...now it just tastes bland and at times oily. Don't try and cut corners especially with a staple dish...it really shows.

They r nice but got my order completely wrong & when they offered a credit I ordered another simple dish that was so unedible & drenched in sugar sweet sauce so gross & almost done out of spite.. don't recommend this place

I used to live a few blocks from this place so it was convenient to get food there. First all of the people taking orders at the cash register were always so nice and friendly! Which I appreciate a lot, service with a smile! Usually the food that I ordered was very tasty and very good. My favorite was the pineapple curry. And I loved the pad thai, it was very tasty and a pretty big portion of it. The flavor is very authentic and not too heavy. One thing that I did not like however was that a few time when I ordered tofu, the tofu was actually a little bit off, so they need to double check that before they put it into food, this was really the only thing that was ever not good from my ordering experience, so if the owner reads this review just make sure to check the tofu before you put it into the food cause that happened more than once and then I just got the vegetables instead. But aside from that everything was awesome. The rice was good, the peanut sauce was good.. I pretty much ordered the same thing every time and it was delicious. I still give it 5 starts cause the food was great, just need to fix that tofu mishap!

Went in and ordered a fried rice yesterday 11/23/2023. The price is $14.15 and I handed the lady a $20 bill. She took the money and put in the cashier machine, then asked me if I have 15 cents. I said yes and gave her 2 Dimes. She return me 5 cents and then walked away to pack the food. I had to ask for the $6 change. They just like to play the game like this. Sneaky trick business. The food had no flavor. I ate less than 20%, and fed the squirrel with the rest.

Had this for the first time yesterday and I have no idea why I didn’t try it sooner because the food is absolutely delicious!!!!! Truly delicious ?

The restaurateur is desperately poor. A can of regular soda costs $2.20 for a few cents.

Ordered seamless tonight - crab Rangoon, crispy chive cakes, drunken noodles spicy w chicken - Way too many bamboo shoots in the noodles but the real issue is that there was a small black rock in the crab Rangoon. This was my go to for Thai in the neighborhood for several years and I've lost my appetite after crunching on a ROCK. Won't be ordering from here again. The delivery guy also wasn't paying attention to where he was delivering to - dropped the food at an apartment building down the block while I was on my porch waiting for the delivery....

Ordered lunch special for delivery and was shocked by the service I received. I'd asked to be texted when they arrived and I would come downstairs. The guy first calls me SCREAMING into the phone and I don't understand a word he's saying but hear "I'm coming!" So I calmly tell him no worries, text me when he arrives. He called me back a few minutes later yelling again and I said I'm sorry I can't understand you at all when you're yelling. I asked are you here yet? And he said yes so I came downstairs. I get down there and he's nowhere in sight. I call him and wait a while and he appears, very angry and aggressive screaming in my face how busy he is and how I made him wait 20 mins. I have never been treated this way before and couldn't believe how aggressive he was. I understand language can be a barrier, and I will never judge someone for that but that's absolutely no excuse to treat someone that way. The portion was very small - only three small pieces of protein. Very expensive for what you get and mediocre. There's so many great Thai places in NYC with wonderful service and better prices , this one wasn't worth the hassle.

Tiny restaurant with one table that seats two and a few bar stools to sit by the window, but out of the 5+ Thai restaurants nearby this is by far the best Thai restaurant in the neighborhood. The larb and drunken noodles are really good. I usually order takeout and have a Thai icetea or coffee while I wait for my food.

I have had take out from Sawasde several times and it does not disappoint! Both the pad Thai and drunken noodles were fresh and made to the level of spice requested which was important because I love spice and my friend hates spicy food! Last time I ordered the pad Thai extra spicy...CAUTION when you do, they don't hold back! Each time we ordered our order was ready quickly and the people working here have been very friendly. Also prices are quite reasonable. Two thumbs up!

I'm a very long term customer who always orders same thing panang curry. Inflation hit and they started charging for meat. I was ok with that. But now I order and it's 80% liquid. Hell no. Will not order again.
