Coffee is excellent, place is beautiful, but staff looks tired and extremely unfriendly.
I was here 3 times past month I am staying in Bed-Stuy and every time the staff was rude, angry and unwelcoming. I understood from the attitude of the staff, that for some reason (bought coffee, left tip, was polite, smiled, did not stay longer then 30 minutes) I am not welcomed, so I won't be back.
I worked in a service industry, I understand how tiring it can be, but if I would have attitude like these ppl, I would be fired on the spot. Very strange to treat customers like enemies.
Too bad, otherwise this place is very nice.

Quickly ran in here for two breakfast sandwiches and a coffee on our way to the airport. It wasn't as quick as expected because everything is made freshly by a one-woman army in the open kitchen! It worked out fine for us and we made it to the airport on time. The egg and cheese sandwich was so flavorful and tasty! The tuna melt was good too. The latte was delicious and the staff were all so kind when we asked about local transportation advice :) It is also so cute inside, I wish we had time to sit and eat. 10/10!

It’s an average and busy neighborhood cafe. We came here for an early morning coffee, we had a cold brew and regular filtered coffee but the coffee -my filtered coffee- was sour and to be honest I didn’t like it! The place has a unique painted frames and they make fresh croissant. Nice music and good service.

This is my favourite coffee shop in the area, I live just around the corner and have been coming to get coffee here for the best part of the last year. The staff have changed over time and I have to be honest, the service is very hit and miss. There are only two women who work there that provide the correct level of hospitality. There is a gentleman that serves in there who is completely devoid of all emotion and will always lead with “what do you want” If the manager reads this can you please tell the young guy who works there that he needs to learn how to smile and have a positive outlook when working because he makes me not want to buy coffee when ever I see he is working. He doesn’t look happy to be there and I feel bad for the other people who work there that want to do a good job because he brings the place down massively. Either he needs hospitality training or he needs to find a job that makes him happy.

Nice for the summertime, outdoor seating. Inside gets a little tight, there's alot of to go business.

Honestly 9$ for a very average iced matcha with no sweeteners or syrup is kind of ridiculous. And your staff is very stressed and understaffed so they’re not able to have much to give in terms of good customer service. Kind of disappointed because it’s a cute spot in the neighborhood.

This was one of the best experiences I have had at a coffee shop...well...pretty much ever! It's clean, warm, inviting and chill. Very good music. The staff is super sweet. Coffee is good. Vegan burrito was INCREDIBLE, absolutely recommend it. Service is quick. Tons of seating which you would not suspect since it's not a big coffee shop? I want whoever designed this place to give me some pointers when I open my yoga studio because I am just wowed by the layout in here. Just really really good energy from both the staff and patrons and I was there not even 10min. Very pleased. Thank you for making my Monday so lovely 💜

This isn't about their coffee or the prices they charge—it's about poor management. I’m a local artist living in Brooklyn, and since discovering this place, I’ve been going there regularly for coffee, meeting friends, and spending time. Their website mentions that local artists can join their community by leaving a message, so I did. I sent an email and even followed up, but received no response.

One day, I ran into a manager (who identified herself as such) and asked if they had seen my emails. She said someone else on the art team might know better and suggested I email another address, which I did—still no response. When I saw her again, I mentioned that nobody had replied to me. Her response was dismissive and arrogant, and yet I still received no follow-up.

This is not how you invite local artists to join your community. I’m disappointed, and I’m sorry to say that I won’t be following or visiting anymore.

Not great drip coffee. Very good matcha. No prices on pastries. Friendly staff and nice window seats. But very confused why there are Greenwich village prices in ocean Hill. I really want to appreciate that it's local and moral etc. But it can't serve the locals if this isn't the money they make.
What other cafes have done in this situation is protected the cost of a select few things on the menu, say the drip coffee, the cookies and an egg sandwich. That would be a good alternative I would endorse if lowering the prices isn't possible. But I'm afraid it is pushing certain people away
