This place is awesome and it deserves your attention. There are very few times that a cook can make something nearly perfect and don't twice. Today was my second visit to SBN and we just wanted appetizers and a few drinks. The Chopped cheese empanadas were awesome. The sauce they come with is amazing. My wife's appetizer was awesome too. It had Fried Cheese, Toatones, Morsilla, Salami and the BEST PORK BELLY I HAVE EVER TASTED. EVER. I'M NOT EXAGGERATING. We eat at Korean Restaurants once every other month and this was the best I have ever eaten. 10 times better than mine. I don't have any pictures of the food, because we ran to eat the food as fast as possible.We have eaten entrees here before and they were great too. This is a real hidden gem in Bay Ridge.

i normally do not write reviews, my overall experience is a 1 for various reasons.- everything promoted online was no longer on the menu, for starters, they don't even have sushi.- they told me an hour in of waiting that they did not have the appetizer i asked for (gyozas), could have told me way before as i was very much anticipating the gyozas. So i ordered the cheese empanadas instead, it tasted really off.- the music was extremely loud, i could barely hear myself & my partner talk. Way too obnoxious for a restaurant, maybe in a club.- Service took quite some time to take our order- They also took forever on the food. We waited one whole hour for the food.Because it was my bday, i tried making the most out of it. I ate the whole dish because i was very hungry but honestly wish my partner and i didnt go there.- I ordered Camarones al ajillo: the salad & beans were too salty i could feel my blood pressure go up lmfao, the shrimp was hard to bite.- My partner ordered a salad bowl with chicken and rice (i forgot the name of the dish) & his chicken was too hard and overcooked, & again the salad was salty.- We asked for dessert since there was none on the menu, the waitress never let us know if they had or not, so i did not bother wasting time to ask for the check; i was ready to leave.- For the 2 drinks & 2 dishes and one appetizer we ordered, we paid way too much for the quality of the food. Their card machine ended up having issues when my bf tried to pay so i had to Zelle them. My partner brought it to my attention that the initial card payment says "pending" .. so if this transaction posts, we will have to go back and get a refund.Completely ruined my birthday. I do not recommend this place.

Let me say me and my wife were disappointed cause there was no one there. But at the end we were satisfied. 1st we walked in it was very welcoming. Great Latin music reggaeton music was popping. So we ordered 2 margaritas, our waitress Alicia made our drinks and was on point. Then we asked for the appetizer of empañadas of beef. She came back and explained that they will take a while, the chef suggested the picadera. So I said ok. The chef and owner Mel came back with the picadera and explained for the delay of the empanadas. They make them fresh and we're not ready. So he explained the appetizer was plantain with beef stew marinated for 24 hrs with pico de galo and avocado, told me the were on the house, sorry for the inconvenience. They were amazing. We were planning to leave b 4 the appetizer but once we tried them we decided to order an entree of mar y Tera. That's skirt steak with shrimp in garlic and butter white wine sauce. It came with white rice and beans. Everything was excellent except the shrimp might of been frozen shrimp or they just cooked them to long.. other then that service by Alicia was a great experience we will b going back ...

Sushi sheff was on vacation would have been nice to know since we made reservations 4 days prior , steak was not available , beans were not available. Waitress had to go to bodega across to buy beer and coke after we asked if it is okay for us to do it ourselves since there no beer as well. The food that was served was good and the place is nice. Wish we had a heads up about half the menu being unavailable.

We had a reservation for dinner. When we came the restaurant was almost empty. We ordered drinks, an appetizer (rock shrimp) and 5 different rolls off the menu, a mix of the classic Japanese rolls and a couple fusion rolls. The bartender who was serving us then comes back to inform us they don't have any of the ingredients for anything we ordered, and can't make any of the Japanese rolls on the menu, nor some of the fusion rolls. We ordered a couple fusion rolls instead and they were absolutely disgusting. The appetizer and drinks were ok, nothing special. Would absolutely not recommend this place for the food, the drinks, or the vibe.

Food was very very tasteful and they give you a good portion. Resturant is very nice inside & the staff was very nice & fast service. Only downside was it was 6pm and they had a dj and the music was extremely loud I felt like I was in a club. Very uncomfortable for dinner. The music was good but it was way to to loud and uncomfortable. I would definitely return with hopes there isn’t a dj because the food was amazingggg and very presentable. Our bill came out to $100 for 2 people (including tip) we had 2 appetizers and shared an entree and had 2 sodas. We have our waitress ann extra tip on top of that because she gave us great service. Overall not bad I will definitely recommend 10/10

I celebrated my 21st birthday here on 3/18/23 and I had an amazing time! It was a party of 18, and the staff did an amazing job! The food was so delicious, the drinks were good as well! The music was good + the vibe! If you’re looking for a spot with good music, good food, and good vibes I highly recommend this place!

First time, finally a vibe spot in bay ridge. I wish this spot was here way before. The waitress is sooooo friendly, sweet, welcoming, accommodating… nice decor.. delicious pina colada as well as the sushi- mambo king I think.. they have hookah.. loved it.. I can’t wait to come through again.
