Have been going here since I was a kid, just the best fresh yeast donuts I have had. Melts in the mouth.

A staple of the community the place has been there for over 50yrs and continues to sell fresh donuts. I personally have never had any of the dinner food and would not recommend the coffee. Donut thoughs, very solid.

Let me tell you about the experience I had here a while ago. I downloaded the app Too Good to Go which allows you to grab the leftover food for cheaper. I was nervous coming in with that app because it’s not as popular here locally. When I came in, the guy understood that I placed an order with the app. He told other coworker that it was why I was there. He smiled at me and said that he will give me good donuts. Mind you there were several chocolate covered and glazed donuts on the display. I was sure he was gonna give me those. About ten -fifteen minutes go by and this guy comes out with a big bag of something. He continues to smile at me as if he did me the biggest favor or was going to give me the whole shop for free. He hands me that bag and…. DISSAPOINTMENT!!! He just gave me a bunch of plain bagels that looked so old and stale I think a homeless person wouldn’t touch those. It was absolutely RIDICULOUS. Mind you the guy was smiling. I think he totally knew what joke he was playing on me and it was fun for him to give me expired stale donuts instead of leftover glazed and chocolate ones which he for sure had. I ended up throwing those in the nearest dumpster. Since then I haven’t stepped foot in that shop and will never do. Save yourself tome and money because I’m sure when they serve you those donuts or pastries they will give you the oldest bunch first.

Food is good and I was coming here for years. The staff is so rude now so i wont be coming back. especially the man woking on Wednesday morning.
Just read other negative reviews to see if anyone had a similar experience and there are so many negative reviews on this rude worker. Someone even posted his picture. I don’t understand why the owner would rather lose customers and keep getting bad reviews instead of getting rid of a worker who is nasty to customers

This bagel barely has any cream cheese it feels like I’m just eating a plain toasted bagel. They could’ve added at least twice as much to make it taste right.

The service here was terrible. I waited almost fifteen minutes for two donuts and a cappuccino while “Anything Else Guy” stood behind the counter chatting like there wasn’t a line forming. When I finally got my order, the donuts were cold and the coffee was barely warm.

He didn’t greet anyone, didn’t apologize for the wait, and acted like we were bothering him just by ordering. When I asked for napkins, he pointed to the corner without saying a word.

It’s hard to enjoy the food when the person serving it seems like they don’t care. I’ve been to this shop before and it used to be great, but as long as he’s the one running the counter, I won’t be coming back.

Vibe check: none
Aura: stale coffee and frustration
Would I come back: no

There is something special about watching Anything Else Guy at work. When he makes doughnuts, it feels like more than baking. There is focus, rhythm, and care in every motion. The dough seems to rise differently when he is behind the counter, almost like it knows it’s in good hands.

When he brews a cappuccino, the sound of the steam wand and the aroma of fresh coffee blend into something calm and familiar. His presence fills the shop with a quiet energy that makes the morning feel right.

He doesn’t just prepare food and drinks. He creates a small experience of warmth and calm for everyone who walks in.

Vibe check: immaculate
Aura: golden brown with a calm hum of early morning peace
Would I come back: already planning to!

This worker his presence feels like he owns the whole block. Every time a customer orders, he just nods calmly and says, “Anything else?” — like a monk guarding the secrets of glazed perfection. His aura is so strong that even the coffee machine waits for his approval before brewing.

Awesome donut spot, came in for one and left with a dozen. Would come back in a heartbeat. Haven’t tried the breakfast but would love to try it and the crinkle fries.

An old fashioned coffee/donut shop located right under the Q train station. One of the few places left in NYC that has good coffee and donuts made like REAL donuts!!! Well worth a trip there!!!
