I buy their bread at the McCarren farmer’s market on Saturdays. The best sourdough I’ve had outside of San Francisco! Their long Pullman loaf (their most sour) is my favorite.

BREAD in all its meaning!

Such good bread. The batard (chewy soft inside, intense oven-browned crust) and classic baguette are personal favorites, but you can't go wrong-- there is super-flavorful magical bread alchemy in all they produce. Legend has it Brooklyn restaurateur Andrew Tarlow started She Wolf because he couldn't find a wholesale bread supplier for his restaurants that met their high standards. Thanks for sharing that same deliciously high bar with the rest of us, She Wolf!

Tried the gingerbread that was placed in the Classon Community Fridge. It is AMAZING!! Thank you to whoever placed it in there.

The. Best. Bread in The city. It’s like you’re in Europe. Crusty crust, chewy tender inside. It makes me smile and go way out of my way to enjoy this fantastic bread.
Discovered Fort Green farmer market and I saw she wolf bakery bread.Bread was sooo delicious amazing makes you very happy. But expensive.Thank you She Wolf Bakery.

their baked goods are amazing- the day cake with sweet potato puree somewhat like a gingerbread was so moist and delicious no wonder they sell out at the union square farmers market

Being European, it is often hard for me to find bread that I really like. I like bread with a heavily charred, crisp crust and a light, pillowy inside with big air pockets. She Wolf Bakery make just that type of bread: Their Bâtard, which I find at greenmarkets at Domino Park and at the McCarren Park, is a naturally leavened bread, with no commercial yeast, and a slightly sour crust. I can eat an entire loaf of Bâtard by myself. Here is where you can find their bread in NYC:
