Went with my mom today to SHEEP BY BARASHKA. We had been once before and really enjoyed it. The menu has a great variety and offers a lot of really wonderful comfort foods. We both had Cornish hen which you really cannot get in many restaurants. it was excellent, We also had sweet potato fries, a salad, incredible chicken soup. The last time I went with my dad and he had the had the chicken schnitzel, which I tried and loved. the restaurant is relatively inexpensive compared to others in the neighborhood and the quality is tops. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Yesterday I called in the afternoon and booked a table for two for the concert and warned that we needed to be closer to the stage, since we were going directly to the event. The administrator’s response “that’s how it goes” sounded as if the entire hall was already booked and there was simply nowhere to sit. They arrived at the appointed time. The same administrator (a woman of Balzac's age) seated us at the opposite end of the hall (second table! from the end!). At this moment the hall was empty and only two tables were occupied! For the entire restaurant.
To my question: why so far? We're going to a concert. The answer simply killed me: because there are two of you. If a lot of people come, I'll seat them near the stage.
Thanks to the waiter (a young man with glasses) who took this lady aside and persuaded her to place one small table near the stage. For two. As we asked earlier in the day. But the residue remained. The lady then “changed her shoes” and became prettier. but the feeling that we were communicating with a “teacher from the Soviet Union” still remained...
And by the way, tips are already included in the bill, so be careful. You don't have to leave any more.
Thanks to the young man (waiter) who helped resolve the situation.

Great Azerbaijan Food! Great Ambiance!
Avenue U between Coney Island Avenue and Ocean Avenue is pretty much dine and dash territory - split between a dozen ethnicities. That comes with a huge span of mouth-watering dishes but where ambiance is an unknown word. So, walking into 6apashka or "Lamb by Barashka" is like being teleported to a fine NYC restaurant where great food is paired with a sterling dining experience - without those withering Manhattan prices.
This is a wonderful dining experience and if you are lucky enough to stop in between 12 and 4PM weekdays - their $12 Prix Fixe Lunch is a show stopper! The South Caucasus region plates are one-of-a-kind delicious and the tables are set with linen, silverware, and sparkling wine glasses. The pièce de résistance is a wall-sized jumbotron that displays stunning videos of the region so that at any particular bite you are viewing rivers, creeks, waterfalls, and more waterfalls.
If nightlife is more your thing - the video wall becomes the backdrop for local musicians. We have not sampled that part of 6apashka yet, but lunch is something special we will be going back for seconds on - many times!

To my surprise probably one of the best tasting foods among russian fine dining restaurants in Brooklyn. We were here for the family cellebration, and came few times for lunch. All top notch food, and ambience is very nice.Bathroom is horrble like by many russian restaurants in Brooklyn (saving money on renovations?) But everything else makes up for it.

It's purely amazing and delicious food. The chef actually cares how the food comes out. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the servers pay attention to details. The azerbaijan food is purely made from heart with love. I have been in this place twice and plan on coming back again and again. This food is awesome. Each dish is filled with true love, care, and passion. I will go back and eat there without second thoughts. Great job for the team.

Very nice, cozy and with element of glamorous atmosphere. Food was amazing! The waiters did everything quick, gentle and unnoticeably! Elia - the manager were very patient to our dietary demands as well as our special requests. All our guests from different countries, who came to celebrate my farther’s 90th birthday and my parents 65th anniversary, were very pleased!
Vegetarian options: This is not vegetarian oriented restaurant, but there are absolutely amazing vegetarian dishes there you must try! My #1 choice is Crispy Eggplant Salad!
