Ordered from the 4th Avenue location via Sauce. The baked salmon salad with lox is really good on a toasted biali.

I came here and got a lox bagel (Member of the Tribe on the menu) around 2pm on a weekday. There was no wait and excellent service. I got it to-go but there’s around 3 tables for seating, definitely not suitable for large groups dining in. I added tomatoes, onions, and capers to my bagel in addition to the lox and it was a pretty solid and delicious lox bagel. It was around $20 for a lox sandwich. I look forward to going again.

I was reluctant to post, but have seen same sentiment in other newer posts; Shelskys was my definition of a NYC egg and cheese on a bagel that I would happily pay whatever amount for, but something has changed and the magic is no longer there.
Best bagels around. Most interesting sandwiches. Love it.

I don't know what is going on at Shelsky's. This used to be my go-to place that I would brag about, but recently it seems to have taken a turn. Today I ordered a pretzel bagel, but it was undercooked and sunken. I couldn't eat it. I hope management sees this and returns Shelsky's to the bagel shop I used to love.

Great food! Over-priced? Yeah. It’s a staple of the neighborhood. Service is good, but don’t go if you’re short on time. Some days, depending on who is working the register, I debate if I’m experiencing a micro aggression, if even unintentionally.

I ordered a Jersey Pork Roll Egg & Cheese Sandwich and 6 bagels and 4 bialys also scallion cream cheese and some knishes I pre-ordered from the 4th ave park slope store I ordered the night before everything arrived quickly the delivery was sitting in front of my door ahead of scheduled time. The breakfast sandwich tasted very good; bagels and bialys were nice and soft. A good experience I would highly recommend.

$20 for a non plump bagel is ludicrous. My 1 bagel took me over 15 min wait. Only went because it's famous but not that appealing

Was hesitant to come here because of the low reviews but pleasantly surprised! These bagels are NORMAL sized!! Such good dense seasoning on the everything bagel, cream cheese up to par! Prices are fair, a slice of pizza is literally $6 down the street. This place deserves more credit than it’s being given

Will definitely be coming back! I was around the neighborhood and came across this bagel store. I was unsure of what to get but thanks to the amazing customer service from Maggie, she definitely recommended something unique 😍 The sandwich it’s like a Clementine but instead of Gravlox it was substituted with Nova lox and instead of butter I added jalapeño garlic cream cheese! I will definitely be reordering this in the future! I loved the coffee, definitely made exactly how I like it ❤️

I loved the bagels they were so fresh and tasty!
After constantly being disappointed w/ nearby Bagel Pub, i remembered Shelskys is here, and wanted to go back after my thoughts in the past that it's pricey, but wow is it BETTER quality! The egg salad on onion bialy was so fresh & delightful! (7$) A treat! And i also had a few bites of my friends outstanding 'impossible' Chopped Cheese, wow! And also to mention, the woman at the counter was SO friendly & attentive, wow refreshing! (4 *, cuz high $)
umm $10 for an egg and cheese???? Bagels aren’t even top ten in the city. I mean just look at the owners responses to the low start reviews. Pathetic all around
