Very cute space and atmosphere. The food was very good
sip and play is truly a pillar of the park slope community. The food is great and they always have a wide selection of games to make your time worthwhile. The drinks are delicious and they tend to have seasonal beverages! Gameplay is $10 for 3 hours which is cheaper than other board game cafes I’ve visited. Great for children and adults alike - have and will be a repeat customer.
I loovvveee this place their food and drinks are great plus they have great games. I think 10 bucks per person for 3 hours to play games it a pretty good price too.
We had an unfortunate experience where a roach fell onto our food from an open hole in the ceiling of the back room while we were playing a game. Thankfully, the staff handled the situation very kindly, and the owner reached out to make things right. We were fully comped, and their response made it clear they take these matters seriously.
Great place
I had a great time playing Modern here! It was so nice to meet the owner, Jonathan, and his employees were all very welcoming, knowledgeable (about Warhammer 40K and Magic), and kind. The vibe was amazing with so many different kinds of people all coming together to play games whether it was Jenga, Monopoly, Flesh & Blood, Magic, or one of the hundreds of other games at the store. Plus, the store has great food and drinks, too. What more could you ask for from a gathering place like this?
Had a great time! The food was great and the selection of board games was endless
Great price for 3 hrs, staff was very friendly and helpful, games were organized and play tables and bathroom were neat and clean. The food and drinks were also affordable and tasty. I had a lot of fun with my friends, would recommend !!
I came to Sip & Play hoping to do just that, sip on a little latte and play some board games. Well I get there and the espresso machine is broken, so no latte. Then I learn it costs $12 PER PERSON to play the board games…woof. I end up opting for the drip coffee, which was just fine, and despite my frustration with the price, we fork over the extra $12 (PER PERSON) game fee. I understand that things happen, things can break and I was assured that in a couple hours the espresso machine would be back up and running. What I fail to understand is how they can justify charging 12 of my hard earned dollars, PER PERSON, to play a bunch of old board games that could be bought at a garage sale for, i don’t know, twenty, thirty bucks? Now it would be one thing if all the games were neatly organized, tidied up, in excellent condition, and to be fair they had a moderate array of games (but no connect 4? No mancala? No parcheesi?), but it was certainly not a selection or quality worth charging $12 PER PERSON for. The one saving grace of my experience (the reason I am giving 2 stars and not 1) at Sip & Play had nothing to do with the services provided by the establishment itself, but rather had everything to do with the company I was with. I was fortunate enough to have visited S&P with one of the most lovely, intelligent, beautiful, funny and kind humans I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I think you could have us two spend the afternoon in a sewer and we’d probably have a great time with it. Anyways, there is a lesson here, if you decide to go to Sip & Play (and can forgive them for their possibly malfunctioning espresso machine and a ridiculous board game surcharge of $12 PER PERSON), but you are with good people that you care about than you will probably still have a great time!
Lots of fun for the whole family. Or a low key bday party

Definitely will be coming back. Came here because I saw they had mango coconut sago online but this spot was so much more than I expected. Lively welcoming environment and staff. They went out of their way to accommodate me and the food was very satisfying with good portions. Definitely recommend for a night out with family or friends

I never thought I'd feel OBLIGATED to write a review on a place until now... The staff was really nice to my friends and I except for one person. An asian male with a pony tail and glasses had the worst attitude EVER. The amount of grunts, huffing and puffing and eye rolls were absurd. Where do you even find these people??

This place has great games and the people working there were really nice but the food was extremely terrible from presentation to the taste !!!! Ordered a chicken sandwich could not eat it! My friend also forced self to eat their food which was not so tasty. The bubble tea was also too sweet. Besides that great athmosphere.
