This is my favorite cafe in Bedstuy. Such a lovely mission, beautiful people making really intentional tasty food, in a beautiful space. My only wish is for them to be open more often!
Good coffee, a bit pricey and they don't wear masks. But otherwise a cozy spot to hang out and chat.
Skal is amazing. The people are so friendly and welcoming, the space is simple and thoughtfully comfortable, and there are a variety of food and drink options. Most of all it just felt very homey. Would highly recommend!
Very friendly team and great service, good vibes, great coffee/ tea options with a variety of enjoyable food options. The sweet potato fries were great!
Local place that's really nice.
I ordered a latte and the barista made it with oat milk without asking me. She said they are out of whole milk when i realized later. This was towards the end of the day, so i kind of get it. But also i don't think a café can run out of milk. If they do, they have to warn you before charging 5 bucks for a latte. Chocolate chip cookies tasted like a beginner baker's attempt for a mediocre cookie...
Stumbled across this gem. The staff spreads love, the Brooklyn way! It’s cozy, beautifully lit and the food is amazing. Will be back.
Love this place! Great design, great people, awesome coffee and food. I would give it a 6 out of 5 if I could!
was so excited to try this place and extremely disappointed. i think it’s just what we ordered, but DO NOT get the breakfast burritos, neither of them. they’re very sad, flavorless, boring, and undercooked. no salsa or avocado included in them as advertised on the menu. and for $18 ARE YOU KIDDING!!!!!!!!!! most expensive bfast burrito in all of bk, … again, so disappointed :(whatever burger type sandwiches they have look better maybe, with the black or green buns, seems good. maybe will try that next time or just stick to drinks and environment. very cute inside and my matcha was fairly good. nice service. but damn was that meal confusingly bad
Amazing atmosphere and delicious healthy food choices. I've been for Sunday brunch and Taco Wednesday... Left satisfied both times. My daughter loved the service and how friendly the owner was. Can't say enough about how good the food was... That was only topped by the personal care of the staff

This was my first time at this cozy restaurant, we had Brunch there. The owner and Chef was very welcoming and friendly. Now let's talk about the the extremely tasty Grits & Shrimp, Banana bread along with their fruit salad etc etc. Everything was on point. I will be revisiting SKAL.
The banana bread French toast is fantastic. Portions were smaller than I expected but it was so fulfilling. Sometimes less is more. And that Jesus Juice will have you speaking in tongues. It is absolutely delicious. They need to bottle it up. I need to come back and try more.
Amazing food and people. A really great neighborhood spot!
The vibe is wonderful in a cozy atmosphere, with great food, and wonderful service.
It was probably 100 degrees inside. Can’t even enjoy the food if the atmosphere feel so uncomfortable
